I think we should leave this one for grendel to answer

Put him on the wing. Tommy Hutchison eat your heart out. Alternatively as George has said he's a centre forward aka Dion Dublin. Odd as he's a defender.

I like Page and Sterry but we should be developing our own players in Haynes and DKE.
It was the same with Burge when we had Allsop.
Makes no sense to me, I understand when you have an Armstrong Murphy or Kent who are streets above your own talent
But Allsop was no better than Burge.
Page and Sterry and on a similar par Haynes and DKE

Personally I don't see why we signed page ahead of developing Haynes. I would like to see hik get some more game time at left back. In terms of playing him in an attacking role - no I don't think so. Its a different proposition attacking from deep than playing in an attacking role. We've been here before with Christie.....

...oh and Hussey after the York JPT game a couple of years ago when some dubbed him the next Gareth Bale!

Not one manager who has been in charge of the club has chosen to develop Haynes.

I guess every single manager we've had in that time could be wrong and a few random posters on a forum could be right

Perhaps.

According you they have all been wrong and needed to be sacked. Except for Robins who was apparently a genius working miracles.
So I guess every dog has its day and you are finally right about something.

Nothing to do with anything is it? If you think you know more than every manager whose managed him then fair enough.

I think that was the thrust of Venus's it's up to him if he wants to be a footballer comment.
He's obviously got ability but there's only so far that will get you and only so much a manager can do to harness the talent.

Arrogant, massive ego and not as good as he thinks he is. Inconsistent and goes missing

I'd play him as a LWB if we had three in defence, but that didn't really work when we did that.

Maybe not reliable enough at the back, but seems to be a good asset going forward. I'd give him a chance to play a bit more at least.

But none have shipped him off either.

Also, I think the argument that our recent managers are all paragons of talent spotting is hard to reconcile with some of their signings and team selections.

Edit: also, is this you accepting you haven't a Scooby about Bigi or anyone else because a manager picked him? Or does this line of argument only come out when you want to feel superior?

I'd like to see him given a chance in goal. Both RCC and Burge are useless/brilliant and Haynes could cut inside any attacking player to guide the ball to safety.

So now you think SP and TM knew what they were doing. Presumably TM was right to sign Bigi then. It's very easy to be right when you have two opinions on everything and select whichever when suits.

I've always rated Haynes, I genuinely believe he is one of our better players. I've seen enough from him to know he has massive potential, just lacks confidence at the moment.

I was right about Bigirimana and I know I'm right about this.

Why didn't you tell us how shit he is during the Wycombe game when he came on as sub with about 30 minutes to go and totally changed the game?

Can you tell us a decent game he has had against anyone apart from a league 2 reserve team?? Even then he cost a goal with shit defending

You said bigiramana will be back in the premier league or at worst the championship.

You are either a wum or a complete imbecile.

Didn't he get the MOTM award first game back at the Ricoh? Scored too IIRC.

Defensively in that game he was all over the place. Your just picking an argument for the sake of it. Kevin Malaga was lauded on here and won a mom, Chris Hussey was the next Gareth Bale and even Callum Ball was described as sensational in a game.

I'm not even sure what winning MOM means - by who?

The man asked a question and I answered it. If anyone is picking an argument for the sake of it it's you with this nonsense.

Haynes at fault for the 2nd goal but Cook also deserves criticism, was facing the attacker and could have spotted the danger quicker.

Sterry is miles better then DKE.
Kelly-evans should be out on loan at a Nuneaton or another conference team.

I agree there isn't much between Haynes and page in ability but page seems to have better concentration and be more consistent.

Chief Commentator!
I agree that Venus's comments were very notable after the Wycombe game.

'He's got the talent buts up to him' or words to that effect wasn't it?

Spoke volumes for me.

That said I'm still not sure what Page offers that Haynes doesn't, and I don't really rate Haynes that highly which says alot imo

Was the best player on the pitch this afternoon. Composed and ran rings round them. Still looked like he could've played for another couple of hours despite playing on Wednesday too.

Ask yourself what position he plays.. then ask yourself how competent he is in that position.... if he was a winger I may accept there is some potential but he is a full back, a defender and he can not defend. Therefore I want him nowhere near the team in that position and, as he isn't good enough to be a regular winger, not be in the team at all. Several managers have either left him out or loaned him out and there is a reason for that

What was your first ever job? Do you still do the same job?

So you say he started as a defender so can only play as a defender. Maybe he has gained a yard of pace. Maybe he doesn't have the defenders brain. But there certainly is a football player in there somewhere.

No I said he is currently a defender and can't play there. Explain how many managers seem to have the same opinion as me in that he just isn't good enough. I struggle to see your view of potential based on a couple of good games in his career against reserve team standard sides.

Our managers have had limited funds. They have got rid of players they have no use for. They see more about the players than we do. And we have had much worse over the years.

If our manager had more to spend I would expect him gone. But until then we need squad players on a lower wage. This is where I place him. And maybe with experience he will improve.

And you did say that you want him nowhere near the team.
