I thought I saw he had scored in the week, good on him but not a player I miss.

Connor is exactly right and I made the same argument about Cody. Someone said it was wrong to get rid as he has gone and scored goals for the Gills. He's scored 5 in 2 seasons for us, and may well have gone on to do so again if we'd retained him. Sometimes a different environment can have a huge impact on a player's performance....look at McGoldrick before he game here. In DS's case it seemed like he was homesick for life north of the border, so him staying would likely have meant just more of the same.

You can only make the decision on the available facts at the point at which the decision is made. On that basis, the one to get rid of him was the only one to make.

Besides, St Johnstone play at a standard that is barely League One anyway, it's a bit like Roy O'Donovan going off to Singapore as he did and getting a load of goals, doesn't prove anything.

Swanson has been battling a lot of personal demons. Good on him for finding some form and hopefully happiness off the pitch. Not someone I would put straight in our team though

Swanson was a talent. I championed his potential this time last year. A big step up was required, it didn't quite happen. Glad he is doing okay!

It is amazing people bang on about, Baker, O'Brien and Reda....Swanson had more natural ability than all three. But it is clear, for whatever reason his focus wasn't right. Mental strength is essential to the professional sports person.

Know for a fact that Swanson had 8% body fat in that picture. Pressley wouldn't sign anyone with a body fat percentage of higher than 10% and I remember him saying what Swanson came in at at the time. People have always said he's been overweight but it's just his build.
