Formal Planning Objection from CCFC (3 Viewers)

There is definitely enough space in between the Ricoh and the shopping arena for an academy I would say, Italia.

I have been walking our puppy there and it is not as big a space as the stadium, but certainly big enough I would say for an academy.

Why do people always start with "Yes Sisu are at fault, but" ?

Anyway, there is room enough at Higgs for both with a little work from all parties.
.

There isn't enough room for all of them. Even wasps and csf have told the trust this.

I think what we see and what is publicised are two different things here. I have no doubt sisu haven't helped here but the other side of the fence has as much teeth and venom but are approaching it in a very different fashion.
exactly!! I said before more will be going on in the background and got called paranoid. Ha

Wasps have our fans group doing some of their shouting for them, the same as the council and haskell did last time

Will there be a trust statement? Surely the ccfc letter can't be argued with?

Whether it can stop anything is another story, but the actual content.

The majority of the academy could be based there. Extra pitches would need to found elsewhere but that is acceptable even in current academy rules.

I can't see how a training ground is physically possible at the Ricoh so I would say it's more about other developments on the complex or in the car parks.
It didn't stop the council spinning it as a benefit of the deal. I don't think it necessarily meant a training ground but Wasps were apparently going to develop the site for something. It was bollocks of course.

Reading more of the comments on CET where so called city fans are revelling in this mess, cannot understand this. We all know SISU are cunts but this is about the long term future of our club and academy. People seem to be happy just get get one up on SISU, fucking grow up and see the bigger picture.

As for the club, we should have been negotiating this a year ago not when we heard the wasps news.

Wasps are playing a dangerous game, they have chosen to go toe to toe with us, some sheep are following them but I would like to think that the bulk of the fans in Coventry and surrounding areas will see through the shiney PR and not back them. Sad case is that they didn't need to take this aggressive approach against us but this is looking like an extermination

I have been enjoying Grendel's work on there winding up the repulsive Woolyback.

The fans on the CT are a disgrace. Anyone reading neutral reading the article and scrolling down to the comment will think they are representative of all us fans.

You empathise with the likes of "Riva" and "Garry" do you?

Better get over there Council Dart - apparantly all of you on here fawn over my every word.

He reckons thousand have left this forum to join up with them.

Apparantly over 200,000 in the city understand that wasps are good for the city and sisu a cancer than needs to be destroyed.

Only 20 of us left on here all supporting sisu

He was on here for a couple of weeks before he had a flounce. I don't agree a lot with people like Tony but he at least puts his points across, and backs his arguments with links a lot of the time.

Even italia, he might be a wasps lover etc but come Saturday (if we are playing) he is saying people should get down to watch etc. On there, somebody posts that they hope we get a win and they get called a sisu lover and then the thumb system gets abused and the posts disappear.

Then you go on there, when they get challenged they copy and paste baa over and over again. On here with the higher % of people they will say "no because...." rather than "baa" copied and pasted.

There are a decent range of views on here, their comments section takes some abuse!

I've termed them the village of the damned.

I'm issuing an apology and renaming it hamlet of the damned.

I don't think any actually go to games anymore. Worrying though how some get these views. They are all desperate for wasps to succeed.

I'd say some do think that, and others are people trying to get others to think it ;)

Well written and very good points made.
It's missing an acceptance that the club created this situation by repeatedly stating it was planning to build its own academy.
An acknowledgement of how that miscommunication would affect the owners thoughts for long term plans for the site wouldn't go a miss. Sometimes you have to address your own mistakes before then addressing others.
Also make your actions support what you write. How can you complain that you are getting no answers, then not turn up when someone attempts to give you those answers, it undermines the whole thing, when fantastic points are made like in this letter.
Let's hope CA turns up if another one is arranged !!!

Are you for real? With people like you believing everything that comes out from wasps and nothing from Anderson how could he attend a minute with no advanced information and proof they will discuss something.

Quite easily he gets in his car and turns up
I don't think anybody was planning to ambush him, kidnapp him or hurt him.
What exactly did he have to lose.
Someone for months he has been trying to speak to says
Ok let's meet face to face and get this thing started and he says yes
Then last minute goes actually no
Write to me first then we meet up after that.

Do you think talks have stopped on the Ricoh due to legal actions?

Grendel you take things to another level most people can see a balanced view.
Most think that what is in that letter is spot on.
However most also realise the damage you do to the credibility of the letter, when you claim no one is giving you information. Then you are get the opportunity to start getting the info you state is been withheld you don't turn up.
It makes a complete mockery of you and the point you are trying to make.
As I say lets just hope if another one is arranged he dies the right thing by the academy this time

That is assuming you would have received all of the information requested at the meeting. The Trust seemed to come out with a random view didn't they that everything would be ok and Wasps are going to save the world?

You definitely won't have received the info if you don't turn up!!

If you turn up and it's doesn't pan out as you would have liked what exactly have you lost?

As I say I don't think anyone was planning to harm him,

So you go there with nothing and get nothing you lost an hour of your life.

You go with nothing and get somewhere fantastic

This is the academy we are talked about i think it is worth risking wasting and hour of his time

It would help our case if we officially announced that we have abandoned plans to build our own academy and AEHC is our only prospect of housing the academy and our long term plan.

All this bluffing was counter productive in obtaining the Ricoh and is equally so in preserving the academy. Big difference is that the Ricoh has gone but there's a chance for the academy so long as we're playing with a straight bat.

Grendel

It doesn't really matter what I think.
Who stopped the talks and what did they say was the reason for stoping them?

Wasps and they gave a reason that Anderson said was not the case and he was told at the meeting that this was not an issue.

You believe wasps so it does matter and why would Anderson put himself in that situation again.

It depends what is then said about the meeting afterwards. Have a look at how the trust thought something completely different had been said between a couple of people.

They would have spun the arse off it

Doesn't the letter say they want to stay there long term? Anderson has also been saying they want it to be long term there too

If integrity was the issue
Then you could have a party there who are purely interested in the future of the academy who do not represent the council Wasps or SISU.
Actually they were already going to be there.
So if Wasps came to the meeting then lied about it afterwards
The people who arranged the meeting could shed light on the truth

Risk well worth taking in my opinion
Than not turning up
Not turning up guarantees the spinning it got

To be fair that wasn't even spinning
He didn't turn up
What does that say to you

Having it all in writing avoids any spin at all doesn't it? Don't you think the fact he didn't turn up and then nobody said anything for a couple of weeks about it, and then both the trust and CSF say about it within 24 hours gives a clue?

Wasps don't want any negative attention, they want SISU to be the baddies even when they do things. I don't think SISU are goodies by any stretch, but then again I don't fall for the "Wasps are going to save us, the academy is saved" crap that the trust tried to push to then go back on after they met them.

People seem to focus a lot on Anderson not going to a meeting (he said at the start he wanted to do things in writing to start) which is clearly what Wasps want. If people focused on them being dicks they would hate it. Nobody actually thinks it is strange that Wasps won't put things in writing,...

Wasps wouldn't agree to that. They don't even want to put any proposed arrangements in writing.

I wonder why.
