Rumour from today's game 3 good players coming in this week
Before you ask don't know who they are and cannot give you the rumour mills name:)
So we will just have to wait and see.

This has to be the case, TM JC and MV are football men. It's near nailed on we would not be selling him to have nothing lined up.
I just hope it's not 3 crocks.
We need to remember we are only a league 1 club that signed a relegated player and look likely to have sold him for a profit to then recycle into the team. It's called wheeler dealing. And yes it's a shame as he was a warrior for most the season.

If it was his decision then good riddance. We only want players who want to play for Coventry City.

Would be entirely wrong to keep him if he didn't want to be here.
We hear that a lot from fans, and managers too, when a player moves on in an unpopular move. But I think it does rather misjudge the way professional footballers think. Playing football is a job and the club is their employer, just like the rest of us. In the vast majority of cases the players simply want to play for a club that gives them the best deal.

It may be a bit cynical but I really do believe that the shirt they wear and the badge they kiss makes little odds for most of them. There is no loyalty in football. So I don't blame Vincelot at all, he has no doubt got a family to keep so he has done the best for his career.

Ta very much, just what we needed in midfield, we were getting a bit worried about that area, That's midfield sorted, keepers sorted (3), defence is a top 2/4 one, just need another striker now. :)

I like to think I'm above all the bollocks like this, I'm not, but I like to think it. But yep. Today has tainted it for me. I hated football when England went out of the euros but I was starting to miss it.

I hate it again already.

He did finish poorly.

Worry is we had been looking for a player just like him for a while and when we finally got him we all thought yes! A player to break up play and get stuck in.

Now he has gone we are going to have to find a player of a similar ilk once again.

Just got the news? I don't think m and v would let him go if their were not wheels already turning as far as a replacement goes. This league needs steel and a bit of guile to get out and Vincent was an old fashioned midfielder. Hope the house will be in order when I get back from the sun.

I think he left because we'll have the ugliest shirt in the league and Bradford have one of the best.

Is there much of a difference between a midfield partnership of McCann and Gazhev/Rose to Fleck and Vincelot?

I would say McCann and Rose are both box to box players.

Vincelot is a defensive midfielder who usually sits quite deep for most of the game.

We currently have/potential midfielders of

Ghadzev
Rose
Reid
Jones
McCann
Lamieras
Robért

Looks pretty decent for L1

I have calmed down a lot now. I was furious when I first saw this mainly because vincelot is one of our better players and he has gone to a rival team in the league. Team this up with fleck joining Sheffield United and it would piss off most Cov fans. So our best two holding midfielders for a long time have both gone to rival better teams than us to help them further.

When does our money go? Serious questions need to be answered. I'm not convinced it's all healthy and good. Maddison, Clarke, Christie, Wilson, vincelot,. All our good players and never replaced. Is it any wonder we never progress? It's no surprise to me.

I guess this is life of a Cov fan in this day and age and when the next star comes alone then we will sell him also.

I do trust TM completely. He says he has a plan after Newport game so I take that as truth and let's see. 2 weeks today is Swindon so it's bloody close. I trust TM so fingers crossed.

Wtf the club is a joke. Ive paid for my st this year, wish i hadnt and wont be renuing after this.
The club is sinking to oblivion with these muppet owners. Cannot believe weve sold one of our first team players who always gave 110%

Shows where SISUs priorities lie and they aint getting this club back into the championship
Time to support NOPM im afraid as we need rid of these unscrupilous owners

I share your frustration massively. NOPM would get rid of the owners that's for sure. If 1000 turned up at the Ricoh every game. They would soon be gone.

It does look like every decent player just gets sold and the fans are left frustrated again and again. Where does this money then go? No one knows other than not back into the club that's for shit sure now.

Has it occurred to you that this a Mowbray/Vincelot football decision and nothing to do with SISU?

McCann is quite a defensive minded midfielder, he will sit quite deep. He is much better than Vincelot on the ball

Is he?

News to me that. Always had him down as quite attack minded, rather than defensive.

If that's right, then fine. Just always had him down as an attacking midfielder.

Gutted when I heard this particularly after losing fleck. We desperately needed some Steele in the midfield and we were certainly a weaker side without him. Getting worried now

If you believe that you will believe anything.

No it couldn't be possible could it? For a start off it doesn't fit with the fanatical, SISU are to blame for all the world's ills, conspiracy theories of the simpletons on here.
