Here's a question......If they had a petition to get rid of their owners knowing that by keeping them they would fall below us in the league would you sign it?

given that this would be the second time and in a short space of time would the points deduction be more ? Wouldnt wish it on the Pompey fans and i doubt it would save us. The FA fit and proper is a complete waste of time, a sham and pointless

I can't see how they will get away with a points deduction. they've just confirmed they are looking for new owners. no shit sherlock.

we need to go into admin now -
1)if it is left to late then the points deduction will start next season and regardless of what league we are in it will be hard to not get relegated (again?).
2) it will atleast give someone a chance to buy the club and make a fist of getting the club on a solid basis for whatever dividion we are in.
3)with new money - we could possibly give those ' more experianced players' better contracts to stay with us in our promotion push from Div 1 next season.

go now sisu

Its not how I'd like it to be but a 10 point deduction would lift us to third should Donny lose.

Poor old Pompey! Their fans have surely been through enough!

It is also sad that we are looking for the troubles at other clubs to save us - that just is not right!

Vladimir Antonov is/was an asset stripper who put in a failed bid for CCFC in May, seems like all these wannabe investors just want to asset strip football clubs then fuck off and leave them in the mire, the FA's "fit and proper persons" test seems to me to be a load of bollocks. :jerkit:

How can you asset strip something that has no assets?

Also I am sure Portsmouth will not get points deduction as its the parent company not the club thats in admin. "The club's parent company, Convers Sports Initiatives plc (CSI), has been placed into administration. Vladimir Antonov has resigned as chairman and director of Portsmouth Football Club. Portsmouth Football Club (2010) Limited - the company that operates PFC is not in administration and continues to trade. The club has funding in place for the short term, but will now be seeking alternative investment for its longer-term equirements."

Mind you at least they know who their parent company is - to us its all a mystery wrapped in an enigma and locked in a box of confusion.

Chief Commentator!
What a piss take that club is. Surely they deserve a sever points deduction for the amount of time they spend going into and out of administration.

Worse off than us! Yet I bet they'll get off scot free then if we ever went into admin, we'd get screwed over by FA chiefs!

No, they tried to argue that the parent company and the club were separate concerns, They were laughed out of court. Indeed, it set the precedent for the very trap that I believe SISU are about to fall into with their Otium bollocks.

I'm sorry to sway off topic - Can anyone confirm where's best to drink ? it's our first time to pompey, keep hearing the Brewers arms ? cheers

Just heard their lawyer on the news. He says they are unlikely to avoid a points deduction and having spoken to the FA that points deduction willrange from 10 - 25 points

Makes Saturdays game a bit more interesting.

Weird to think 3 years ago this week they put 3 past AC Milan at Fratton Park.

Is that not what pompey are trying to do?

Aye, that's my point; there is a precedent which says that this is a desperate throw of the dice by Pompey, it won't work.

But from the post above this, it sounds like they know that.
