Changing thorn not an option (1 Viewer)

Changing Thorn will have little difference to the squad and its fortunes. I like the passing style Thorn brings bad sadly after losing Gunna, King and Turner if anybody actually thought we would do alright without those players then im afraid you need your head looking at. Those 3 along with Sammy meant we had a spine, we sadly have no spine whatsoever anymore. This isnt Thorns fault but the asset strips of SISU. Lets all get behind Thorn and see what happens. If we go down we down with administration behind us, which means a clear bill of health and hopefully new owners. League 1 will be hard but i believe the young players we have at the mo would learn a lot from playing in league 1 just like southampton, leeds etc etc.

Verbally Bullying Thorn now will only make things worse AND who the hell would want to manage cov with the current owners we have, lets do the right thing for once and back his style of football all the way.

Personally I don't like the passing football, not the way we play it anyway. It is slow, lacking thought and purpose and allows teams time to set up two banks of four which we can't break down.

Agree. It is passing football, but it isn't even pleasing on the eye anymore. All sideways and backwards.

I agree with you. I like the style and to me, there's nothing wrong in encouraging the players to make the easy pass. I would prefer a little more honesty from him in interviews, a little more pace and creativity in the play and for him to stop dreaming a little.

I don't think Administration is an option either. The creditors will hold us to ransom until they've "seen the green" sadly. I think it will take something special for them to walk away from the "loans" they've given to their own flippin' product.

No credibility, no morals, no standards, no apprecitation for history (unless they can market that history), absolutely nothing other than the smell of money. The absolute poster company for capitalism at it's lowest common denominator.

Yep forgot to mention in my post about the sideways and backwards passing. Did a big post yeterday about that very thing. I believe Thorn has the right philosophy but not the right players. I can see what hes trying to do but having Sammy and Gael in the middle doesnt help when they ALWAYS go backwards especially Gael

changing thorn is an option when changing the players ain't, because of the finance of the club. when you constantly see 5 or 6 players every week giving below par performance and by this I mean Sunday league mistakes and low esteem morale, that's when a manager earns his money. go down fighting for god sake, every week it cant be, we had no luck, or were better than our league position shows, no we ain't, we are exactly where we deserve to be, I don't blame Thorn for the things out of his control like players leaving with no money for new players , but i do blame him for not getting better out of the players his got. This squad of players should be good enough for low mid table at least

I have been a sturdy supporter of Thorn, but i really do think he is not the man to take us forward anymore. Gardner coming out after the game to say he's never played the position before , says to me why bloody well bring him in then. Its beyound belief, a pub side would'nt do some of the things we do, and i firmly believe now that Thorn has lost the players belief in him,and any honour wearing the famous and honourable skyblue shirt.
All Aston Villa fans were up in arms he left on loan, and what does Thorn do, well lets try him in a new position.I can not get my head round the thinking behind it, i feel now we have a losing cancer within the team. Only one thing to stop this now is to replace Thorn now and just as important Harrison as well as he's just as to blame for this shambolic farce. If we can't fund a replacement give the bloody job to Carsley, at least he played in better teams than Thorn , who played better football than the teams Thorn played in, and he must have loads of new ideas to try out. We have nothing to lose, if we are going down let at least go down bloody fighting, you go on other boards and we are a laughing stock which i fucking hate. If we go down with a whimper i will be desperatly disappointed in my/our club, players i plead with you all GIVE US BACK OUR PRIDE at least.

It is the most boring and pointless football I have ever witnessed. Today the Brighton goalkeeper may as well have sat on the beach in the second half. You are dillusional. I know one thing if this idiot is still in charge next season I will give up 40 continous years of being a season ticket holder -- and I am not alone.

Clever other than this looks like an attempt on goal -- something Thorn knows nothing about. Does anyone remember this luddite as a footballer? For Christ's sake he made Kilkline look cultured, he only latched onto the "entertaining" football tag as he thought it may get fans on his side post-Boothroyd. Really it is embarrasing now.

current problematic common denominator ?
harrison ?
current financial common denominator (since 2008) ?
sisu ?
accept many previous board diabolical errors,
but, this current ownership wreaks of total & utter ineptitude,
'kd' as director of football, bearing in mind your extensive appreciation of the game, what is your take on the situation ?
we all await your pearls of wisdom,
maybe you won't want to comment,
your silence is deafening,
mmmmmmmmmmm
SISU GO !!!!
