So what you're saying is unlike every other club in the country our pitch is of such a poor standard that it can't be used for pre-season friendlies, charity matches etc.

CCFC need to give the public a full match day experience including football worth watching.

What is a full match day experience supposed to mean. Most people want to turn up just before the game, watch the match and then leave. We don't need to be wasting money on the sort of rubbish Wasps put on. Besides which it would benefit Wasps more than us. They'd charge us more and get the F&B money!

Wasps already provide that so the longer CCFC play low key games in Division 1 the more chance that new fans will go to to Wasps.

So how come our low key games have regularly attracted bigger crowds than Wasps?

There's no changing you.

Yep everything's good at CCFC, we are all happy.

The problem is caused by everybody else so we need to slag them off and all will fall into place.

Sorry to bother you at the Cloud Cuckoo Land front desk !!

so Eastwood was lying when he said he wanted susu / ccfc here for the long term?
Freddy was never the brightest. Its like when TF said he was gong to build a new ground somewhere in Warwickshire. If CCFC provide an additional source of revenue to the club why wouldn't Nick want us to stay

whats your view on this charity game in honour of Jimmy Hill being stopped by Wasps?

Don;t know anything about it other than reading it on here love it to take place, but may be genuine reasons as explained by Italiahorse. Don't think its another conspiracy.

At no point have I said everything is good at CCFC. I'm addressing the particular point you have made. What good will extra entertainment do before and after matches. People go to football to watch football - that's it. Unless you have some evidence to show otherwise it is a complete waste of the clubs, already limited, money to pay out for hiring the Ricoh and / or halls and hire in entertainment.

Its not even working well for Wasps! When they put a post match gig on it was a disaster by all accounts and although it was billed as the first of a series there have been none since.

In an ideal world I don't want wasps in Coventry but the fact is they are here and they seem to be here for at least the medium term. We can wring our hands and bemoan everything yellow and black or get on with life. At the moment, while they own the Ricoh, that means working to get the best deal over rent and refreshments or find somewhere else in the city where we get a better deal or we build a new ground (can't see that happening).
In an ideal world we wouldn't have hedge fund owners who moved a once proud club out of their own backyard, who had little or no understanding of professional football and who think they can get their own way (merited or not) by taking every one to court.
Wasps aren't my cup of tea but they aren't the ones who used CCFC as a pawn in their game, who ripped the soul out of my football team and who think bullying is the only way to achieve your goals.

But why is that an issue for us and not elsewhere? There's 9 gigs currently scheduled for Wembley this summer, and I believe at least another one yet to be added. Isn't impacting football or rugby being played there.

More gigs than football and rugby this year then ?

How many games do they have a season then?
Is it used every week for football?
Shit comparision.

What? Much more football and rugby than gigs at both grounds.

Emirates is, they had no issue staging a round robin pre-season tournament a couple of years ago after multiple gigs had taken place in the summer.

Not sure what you're both failing to grasp here. Other clubs have their grounds used in the summer yet can still put on pre-season games. We were told last summer the new pitch was state of the art yet are now being told it can't stand up to the level of use.

Is there a game of any description scheduled at Wembley before the NFL rock up again in October after the the summer concerts? That might have something to do with it if it is.

Yes, there will be at least the Community Sheild and Rugby Challenge Cup Final.

But do they play games on the Emierates pitch every week during the season as well.
Just look how shit the pitch was last year.
You then moan about that.
BTW not sticking up for them I think they should play it at the Ricoh, just pointing out they are really bad comparisions.

Do you know how irritating it is when people argue about everything but in reality it's just another hidden attack on Wasps. You have no idea what is going on but everything like this is a battle to be fought in detail. FFS move on, SISU are our problem.

Nearly as irritating as you jumping to another irrational defence of Wasps whilst conveniently ignoring anything that would put them in a bad light.

Don't know what a round robin equates to but pretty sure they're only allowed three concerts a year.

That's a bit rich. You like to "squeal" yourself quite often.

Oh look, you're NOT defending Wasps again...

Ha just the one I was on about.
With your I don't like sisu BUT.
Nothing but a hypocrite get back on your shell till they call you again.

Attacking Wasps fans for doing exactly what you did yourself, then arguing that we only moved 45 miles away pathetic little man.

I don't defend Wasps.
I put facts on the table and let the frenzied few try and digest them.

You guys and Sisu need to realise they are here for a good many years to come and concentrate on sorting out our problems and not worry about their successes.

Fine, I'll just bow out of this discussion and watch you, Tony, Captain Dart, Shy Whateverhisname is NOT defend Wasps.

Funny, being a shouty kind of fella I thought you'd be bothered about us not being allowed to play Fulham for JH.

Defend Wasps? Oh you mean point out SISU's failings and stating the bleeding obvious. Yeah, clearly the same thing...

Their successes?? Buying a stadium from an inept council that haven't the first idea of loyalty or ironically hypocrisy is about the only thing of note they have done.

Maybe it is the hypocrisy that's appealing for some? It is strange how it is mostly people who were the most against Sixfields who don't like a bad word being said about Wasps?
