Didn't say he was a civil servant. My point was you have to be careful what you say so not to bring the department or government into disrepute. I'm not saying mutton should be hung drawn and quartered. He has though brought the council into disrepute as a complaint has been made about him. Whether or not you agree with the complaint it doesn't reflect well on his professionalism. Or do we only expect that of football players and businesses?

I prefer a world where even you as a civil servant is allowed freedom of speech. As long as it doesn't break the law.

That is the problem here.

SISU seem to be able to do what they want to our football club and us supporters because they are a hedge fund. But if you work for CCC you are not allowed to say what you want or agree with what someone says if it is against SISU. And if any findings go your way we will do what we can to make you look guilty of all charges.

It's nothing to do with against sisu - it goes with the territory

Whenever I say something that is seen as against SISU there are some on here waiting to have a go at me. And you are one of those.

I thought you were all pro SISU at the moment Astute, after they handed FULL control of the budget to TM & MV?

Given you spent most of the time defending the council about something you claimed mutton didn't say when he did that's pretty funny really.

What is pretty funny was how many of you that tried to make out that the comment was made by Mutton. But once it was shown that the comment was made by Ainsworth and he agreed with the comment it was turned into the normal shitfest to cover up how certain people were wrong.

So you are sticking with your view that the Shane O Connor interview did not take place? You said that didn't you?

Then it actually happened because ACL were going to... So they pipped them to it.

So they could appoint their own administrator, that really turned out in the fans favour, 'can't find the golden share', no-one will bid. FL to scared to step in, a revised subsidiary comes to the rescue, and 'oh here it is'. The golden share comes from under the sofa. The biggest thing ACL got wrong was allowing that receiver to run it. I know it was all legal etc. Not questioning that, Starbucks, Apple, Amazon all pay taxes with in the law, but is it moral. Then again this is football, are there any morals left?

But, all that must be the councils fault! I fully understand people supporting the club, but for the life of me how anyone that has very supported CCFC or football in general can defend our disrespectful, heartless, 'we batter everyone in court' owners is beyond me.

No doubt the council could have done things differently, I wish things had turned out differently. But not by selling out cheap to bullies.

And that's the key point. They acted as ACL had applied to put the club into administration. Had that not happened do you think they would have done it themselves, it ended up costing the club and lot of points and costing SISU a lot of money.

Is that forgetting that SISU were threatening liquidation?

If only you would put your hands up every time that you are wrong. If you did it would do us all a massive favour. You would constantly have your hands in the air so you wouldn't be able to reach your keyboard and come out with the drivel you do.

I know. Look at how many were saying that the quote came from Mutton. When they couldn't fault the evidence that it was a quote from Ainsworth they have tried to reword it.

Or howabout poor Grendel who is usually wrong. And those that are his followers. How much diatribe has been aimed at those of us that said our near term future is at the Ricoh as nothing else looks affordable or looks on the table. We were saying that the finances stood up with the right deal. Even more shite comments came out against it. Now we find out that the person brought in by SISU to deal with that side of things has the same view.

Have you put your hands up for being wrong yet? :)

Insolvent liquidation if a deal is not agreed was the stated position before administration to be fair.
"Re-enter negotiations pronto or we file "

I've apologised several times on this forum, I even apologised to you during our recent spat! (for my tone not my opinion) I'm more than happy to admit when I'm wrong, that's part of debate.
So... are you man enough? I could always bump the thread but I'm sure you don't want that.

Is it a believe everything Tim Fisher says day today?

At that point in time 3 years ago during the negotiations he was the man negotiating on behalf of SISU. He said it as a matter of fact. ACL said that our best offer and they felt he was originally happy with it.
Then they claim he changed his mind , said no and threatened to liquidate the club.
You can't wash over that with well you can't believe Tim Fisher.
He then threatened to take the club away from the Ricoh. Most people laughed yet he achieved it.
So who knows when you can believe it and when you can't.
I have met him a few times and a lot of what he said to me did happen.
Some of it didn't.
So you can't just say well Tim Fisher said it, so it won't happen.

Here's what Fisher was saying shortly before ACL applied to put the club into administration.

Speaking to Press Association Sport on Thursday afternoon, Fisher said: "My message to supporters is there is no liquidation scenario."

Here's what Fisher was saying shortly before ACL applied to put the club into administration.

This was July 2013

They've run us up against a cliff edge of liquidation and they've moved to tip us over," Fisher said. "All I can say is that it is the biggest crying shame.

This was also July 2013

I also said that we would build a new stadium. So, while I understand the emotions - absolutely - I don't understand the surprise.

'You cannot posture or mislead in a situation like this. It would be insane.

'We thought it was a game,' they said. But we were absolutely clear what we were going to do.

'As a professional, you must never posture or filibuster. You must do what you say you're going to. I don't understand the surprise.

This was March 2013

ACL have been robust in their external statements that they are not in negotiations with us anymore and that negotiations have stopped," Fisher said. "We are at a tipping point and insolvent liquidation cannot be reasonably avoided.

"They need to re-enter negotiations pronto or we file. We'll have no option because there would not be reasonable probability of avoiding insolvency liquidation. We entered the twilight zone on the 22 February [when ACL said negotiations were off] and the twilight zone will become the dead of night very soon unless negotiations are re-entered. We have to show our lawyers that negotiations are ongoing."

On the back drop of this what do you do as ACL. I imagine they just had to what was best to protect their own interests. I assume CCFC getting liquidated isn't in their interests whilst administration for whatever reason was.

Need the point police to be involved what is the point of all these old Fisher comments, are you saying he was always bluffing

Dave was suggesting you can't take the liquidation comment seriously as it was made by Tim Fisher. I am pointing out some of what he says happens some doesn't.
The biggest bluff surely would be getting us to Northampton. Turns out that was no bluff.
So you may think pah he will never liquidate the club he is bluffing. Or you may believe him when he says there is no longer a threat of liquidation.

Unfortunately he has said categorically we are leaving the Ricoh true
We are never coming back to Coventry only the Coventry Area - not true
We are never coming back to the Ricoh - not true
We are building a new stadium - ?
We will announce the new site in 3 weeks - Not true.

So it's hard know really.
As I say I met him and he told me quite a few things that then did happen and some that didn't.

I quite liked him however I openly disagreed and debated a lot of his ideas. He can be very convincing though.

Of course some of what he says is correct but the fact remains people pick and choose what they believe. ACL used the liquidation comment as a reason to put is into administration. Realistically SISU were never going to put us into liquidation - they would have lost everything.

What else are you supposed to do with TF comments other than pick and choose what you believe? You can't believe everything he says just as you can't dismiss everything he says. That only leaves the option of pick and choose. What you and others always fail to acknowledge when you use the rather pathetic put down of you believe Fisher when it suits is that 9 times out of 10 what people usually believe happens to be true, the other 1 time out of 10 the jury is usually still out so what is your point really when you and others say it? Seems to me it's just confirmation that you've lost the point or argument but won't concede it so trot out the old "you believe Fisher when it suits" line.

OK lets assume you pick and choose what you believe, for a start then it is far from cut and dried that ACL were correct to put the club into administration. It was their assessment of Fishers words.

However if you looked at the situation objectively it was incredibly unlikely that liquidation was on the cards. Of every option available that would have given SISU the worst return. Why would they go for that?

Supposition. You've got to pick and choose what you believe that TF said to come to any conclusion including yours that liquidation was unlikely. You're doing exactly the same as what you're accusing others of.

Truth is we'll never know and trying to guess (because that's all it is at the end of the day) based on anything that TF said or didn't say is a hiding to nowhere.

So you have never been wrong with your POV?

Apologising for having a potty mouth while insulting people and admitting you are wrong are two different things. Me saying it wasn't Mutton that made the quote that some on here accused him of wasn't me being wrong. SISU accusing him of being the one who said it with it going onto the documents wasn't proof of him saying it. Yes he said he agreed with it. But it was a quote made by someone else. Or are you still trying to say it was Mutton's quoted comment?
