Picked up some good CDs yesterday in local charity shop. 4 for a quid ! Amongst them is the Faces and their last album OOH LA LA from 1973. Some great tracks on it. Love finding a gem now and then.

Just been listening on YouTube to Spirit In The Sky by Norman Greenbaum. Love that record takes me back to the 70's. Best intro and ending ?

As I type I'm listening to one of my all time favourite artists. Peter Gabriel. Currently listening to "Biko". Sends shivers down my spine! Fucking fantastic tribute to Steve Biko.

Been listening to a bit of Ten years After. Alvin Lee was a superb guitarist. Unfortunately they didn't really have strong enough lyrics. I'd love to change the world is a decent track. One for bbr and houch.
One of my favourites, Henry! Those and Spooky Tooth! I had Spooky Tooth's album with the most insane title! "You Broke My Heart, So I Busted Your Jaw!" Also reminded me of Captain Beefheart. And then of course, my favourite album of that era was King Crimson's "Court of the Crimson King", which I still have. Brilliant gatefold sleeve!

Just as an aside for BBR, going on from the post re. Pershore. That's where Robert Fripp lives with his missus, Toya Wilcox. (Thought I'd mention because of my King Crimson bit!)

Just a few miles from me BBR. Me and 'er indoors often nip across to Pershore. Lovely little place.

spent the night in Worcester last Saturday H. My mate has a static by the Severn, nice part of the world, very relaxing spending time by the river doing nothing but sipping a glass of wine.

It's nice here Clint, but when you have really dodgy knees and a dicky ticker like me, maybe moving to Malvern wasn't the smartest of ideas! :emoji_tired_face:

I am sure I mentioned it last year I went to see KC in Brum at the theatre - really struggled with some of it - 21st Schizoid Man was the hilight - also it was too loud - I don’t normally complain but I am sure my ears were about to bleed !

I know people will disagree but, Spooky Tooths version of I AM THE WALRUS is better than the original.
Never listened to King Crimson. Will give them a go.
Captain Beefheart for me were hard work but I do like the Safe As Milk album.
