So now Norwell injured and we've brought in a Div 2 2nd XI bowler to replace. (Lester)

My comment was about the other signing wainwright but neither of these guys have impressive records
I was referring to my earlier comment when I thought a player only good enough for a Div2 2nd XI turns up and takes wickets :)
Separate point nice to see another England youngster given a chance today (Smith 18yrs old for Surrey) rather than another kolpak or 40 year old.

It is one of the few sports where a player can come from nowhere and have a big game and then seem to disappear again.

Anyway good day for Bears but looks like weather will thwart them in the end

let this one get away with some sloppy bowling beginning of Surrey's 2nd innings.
Where's Burgess btw?

In a whole heap of trouble here they will lose by an innings and some at this rate, Kent will get over 600

Ye of little faith. 142 - 0 at close (still all out by lunch tomorrow :) ).
Maybe it's just a duff pitch.
Genuinely can't think of any county side ever having injury issues like us atm. Down to 5th/6th/7th choice bowlers opening bowlers.

need to shake hands and walk off. Duff pitch. take a draw against a relegation rival with all these injuries

Stone finally back and a proper attack today against a County that has epitomised all that is wrong with county cricket in recent years.
I was berating Warks on here pre season for signing so many bowlers and no batsmen. Crazy that they didn't sign enough :)

Shame Yates couldn't quite make it to 100.
Works hard when he really wasn't quite ready to step up. This season could be the making of him

Battling draw. Hain found some form.
Notts still imploding.
We might stay up by default :) 2 wins clear of Notts with 5 to go

Bowled very well. Just need to show they aren’t reliant on Hain & Sibley
Rhodes a pleasant surprise. Probably youngest and most inexperienced front 6 in recent warks history.
Love one of the kids to make a score.

It’s showing already four wickets down and Yates the only one to make anything above single figures

looks like we're almost safe due to Notts being the worst side ever - not even averaging 5 pts per game.

Even in the 1st 20/20 games seems like some counties are carrying large squads (and wage bills) of specialists for each form of the game.
