Now Clive has said it was because he picked up an injury before the Wycombe game. Maybe I'm being too suspicious but something isn't sounding right there (and yes, I know he could have been injured and then allowed to fly out but why the two excuses ? ).

If I were MR I'd be looking to bring on Allen and o'Hare for Shippers and Zain round about the hour mark, not due to performance but they get leggy and that pudding of a pitch and a game a couple of days ago will do nothing for their stamina.

Agreed. Very frustrating to concede a goal from nothing when we’ve absolutely dominated this game. Hopefully it come back to bite us!

My prediction for this game was 2-1, but we should really score another 1 or 2 goals to finish Tranmere off.

Maybe I'm being naive but I'd just take that as he's picked up a knock so the club let him go home for a few days over Xmas. No issue if that's the case, in fact I'd say it was good management by Robins. No point him sat around in Cov on his own over Xmas if he can't train or play.
