Did Robins say anything about signings after tonight?
"There will be more incomings and were working really hard on that.

“It will be stepped up again this week and we’re starting to drip players in now and we’re pleased with the quality we’re bringing in."

It’s going to take time and we will be a little bit behind. It’s going to take us time to get to where we want to get to but they are doing as much as they possibly can

Best not to have high expectations for the start of the season

Doesn’t look like they’ll be anyone in today. Going to be a mad rush to get these final 9 in.

There's about 5 weeks left to bring them all in. The best PL loans will not be available until after the season starts and for the sake of a couple of weeks I would rather we bring in better quality than just bring in inferior players to pan out our squad in time for the Leicester game. Would be a nice boost if we could bring in a couple more permanent signings before then though.

Other than Doyle who will be playing against us

Whatever. We didn’t start for seven games last season and got as close to promotion as possible without being promoted. We can handle four games without a full squad.

Honestly I’d be OK facing Leicester with what we have. Would like to have a full squad by the 26th to smash Sunderland tho.

BNC in loan would be perfect but I imagine arsenal might want him starting most games. Dunno though
I think we're covered at RWB now (presuming we get this one over the line)
Sakamoto can cover there, along with Eccles, Lats and Burroughs.
We still need at least 1 more CH and another Striker.
It's very encouraging that these recruits are actually ours and not loans.

Yes but if we want to win league we don't wanna be playing Eccles or Burroughs at wing back

I genuinely dont think its needed. Van Ewijk played 100% of 46 games last season. If he does get injured I'd imagine Sakamoto will drop in. Wouldn't waste a loan on a RWB.
I wonder if we're even going to go in for a loan. If we secure our supposed targets it doesn't really look too worth it other than maybe an exciting striker from somewhere.

I think the advantage of a loan is you can get someone potentially like Amad or Hannibal who are absolutely quality and are just going out on loan due to their parents club being too stacked. Think you are right though and this year we will be more selective over who our loans are.

They'd be after Sakamoto and Lats in the pecking order (imho) but the recruitment needs to look at CH and CF next. Fadz isn't going to play every league game and if Simms picks up a knock we're struggling.

Genuine question, will the balls into the box be too fast for Godden? 😂

He’s going to pull his hamstring on matchday 1 at this rate 😂

I can see MR telling Van Ewijk to go at pace against Doyle:)

I get what your saying and agree somewhat

Guess it depends on if sakamoto is effective wingback in championship and if latti is attacking enough

If we did sign another specialist it would allow Joel to concentrate on being a RCB

If the 10 signing thing happens then we can cover all basis

I think it will end up being around 6 signings so CBs has to be the priority right now

I think he will get goals for us if he stays. Would prefer 2 amc behind Simms to 2 upfront if he is one of them mind you.

Cracking sub quality though godden would be.

We are going for autos . You can't aim lower imo

Yeah. We don’t sign players like Simms and Van Ewijk just to have a go at a top 6 finish. This is a proper assault for autos.

Think you need someone more defensively minded to offer you a different shape. That might be Latibeaudiere depending on how much more cover we get at CB, but I think BNC isn’t going to offer us anything better than Van Ewijk and Sakamoto.

Some great signings so far, some have already proven their capabilities - what a window so far 👏🏻 can't wait for next Sunday and the weeks to follow to see this squad develop. Exciting times
