it is always a roller-coaster ride being a Cov fan but things are looking up since Friday. At least we may stay up and avoid administration

I cant see how RR could possibly convince a new consortium that CCFC would be a good investment.. the club has v.few assets left yet still loses money; gates are reducing and havent been anywhere near breakeven for the 3 years he's been here. Unless he knows some VERY rich people wanting a gamble!

If theres any truth in this latest romour at least RR knows better than anyone the state of the clubs finances and exactly what it will cost to make us profitable.
If he does want to take us over he must know what its going to take to sort us out and feel he can do it.
Can't see it being genuine tho imo.

I think RR was probably as misled by SISU as the rest of us...the only way that CCFC is going to be a viable proposition is if we buy the Ricoh...clearly SISU didn't have the financial clout to do this and I just hope RR had found a big player that has. I'm starting to think it's our only hope. Loyal GMK'er but really like the look of this site ...

Whoever invests, once they buy tge stadium we can grow from there I thunk, or they can gamble on a squad for promotion to get some money towards tge Ricoh!

Two factions involved: Ray Ranson and his cohorts in one corner John Clark and others in the other. John Clark, chairman for a few days until being removed by one Bryan Richardson and co. Some of that co are still, there large as life, atleast 2 of our recent ex-chairmen. ???

One person who is being overlooked in all this is RR's mate and true city fan Gary Hoffman. Hoffman is amazingly well connected in financial circles currently working with lord Levine to set up a new high street bank -nhbk - so I am sure he can find some people UK or foreign to come in with ranson. His profile since leaving barclaycard and turning round the basketcase that was northern rock has rocketed and he is sky blue through and through.

If there are two separate consortiums interested in taking the club over, would it not make sense for them to combine to make one group, so that no potential investment is lost to the club. Presumably Messrs Ranson and Hoffman worked together on the board, and seem to feel the same way about SISU. I reckon it's going to need £100M to get the club heading in the direction we all want. Prob £50M to get rid of SISU, £15M to appoint the new manager and sign a few quality players to push us up the table, and the remainder to look at buying at least a share in the Ricoh, so we can tap into regular income from catering, and other events staged at the stadium.

I would half expect Ranson and Hoffman to work together - they seem quite big mates, and while Ranson is not a sky blue in the same sense as Hoffman I definitely think he feels some affiliation to City. If not as Roger said it definitely makes sense for them to work together.

We can only dream this could take place, if you look at the facts we are not a very attractive club to invest in. We don't own are stadium, gates are falling, no players to sell... I will need one almighty effort from Hoffman/RR to pull this off. Think it has been mentioned we need at least £50m, by anybodies standards is a lot of money

Its fair to say we are not the most attractive business option going, but lets look at other things. A population of some 350,000, a stadium that would cost a lot to buy but host's concerts, conferences , gym, hotel, casino, and god knows what else. I really think the outlay would soon be recouped on that. Now i'm not saying we would sell out every game but gates off 27000 plus could be achievable with a half decent team. The money from those extra fans and the stadium business would go a long way to getting us back where we belong. The problem is any investors have to realise its a long haul and not a quick buck.
