Do London Wasps own that Jimmy Statue through ACL? If so that's outrageous.

Got to give them some credit They could have went for a cheaper option like Northampton but instead we are playing in st Andrews which is a fine stadium to be fair

What about the memorial garden - council will have to move it to the play area at Highfield road i guess

I will be writing for the return of my brick and my padded seat which i have ownership of for life
Do you write to the leaseholder or the freeholder ?No doubt one will fob you off to the other .

Ummm....are we accepting Sisu's statement as the truth here?
I don't think anyone takes things at face value however some key points, such as the commitment to no further legal action have been stated before and never disputed by Wasps not even through their friends in the local media.

I have never understood some peoples love for them.

Wasps flooded schools in Coventry with free tickets and even sent their players to schools to drum up interest.

This meant a fair few families went along to the matches and word got around which meant more people went. Free tickets kept getting dished out and before you know it these tossers now have an affinity with the club.

I should know because my brother is one.

My main concern isn't next season but the following 3 or 4 seasons. It feels like there is no way back this time. Can't see attendances being much above 3/4 thousand if that.
A complete an utter fucking mess from all involved.
Still £24 return on the train from here so I'll probably get to a couple of games.

I Agee Otis. We will never know the truth. You are right. However it’s very strange that a big city/one city club like Coventry with a far bigger following than Wasps have been totally disregarded by the council. Yes Sisu have made many mistakes. Just can’t help feeling that our council have fu***ed us over. A successful ccfc would bring far more income to our city.

Don't think this will affect players too much (St Andrews/Trillion) is a good ground for L1 level); it will be interesting to know how it affects budget plans. At least St Andrews can host a decent away following (in respect of income for us). Still gutted that we've got to move, but am in a defiant mood.

Hoping Wasps miss our £££££ and go bust. We then buy the Ricoh on the cheap. I can but dream!

So if the lease reverts to the Council, you think that they will resell it to a SISU owned CCFC.............on the cheap !!

FWIW, I think we will pick up a couple of hundred 'locals' curious to watch a game of footie. Away followings won't be any less - a 'new' ground for a lot of them, and arguably easier by train. Then added to that the x,000 season tickets we're going to sell. Think we'll average 4-6,000 (although a Tuesday night v Fleetwood in February may dip!)

I believe it is £6.50 return from Coventry on the train.

I will probably go on the l&wccfc supporters coach (to support their venture) but have realised that I can get to Brum on the train cheaper from Warwick for less than I was paying to park at The Ricoh! Still not happy - and just realised that all the car park places will take a hit in terms of lost revenue near the Ricoh. Pubs and local businesses will take huge hits. At least one bonus - Cov City Council will lose a bundle in parking fines handed out on match days.

Well, yep, but the city of Coventry is struggling for money too, so that will in turn probably hit the people of Coventry as well.

Lets hope budget is good enough for MR. He is pivitol to our future and wasps and council wpuld hate it if he got us promoted. Imagine they had to let us do promotion parade in city after they kicked us out

why? Is it better to carry on with this shit year after year with one year extensions... or now maybe the club will be forced to actually follow through with the new stadium

You can’t expect me to believe there’ll be a new stadium

The potential for this to happen was always there the moment the CCC sold the RICOH you Wasps.

The only viable long term solution is to build a ground.

At least we do not have to try playing nice passing football on a rugby pitch if Wasp\Council have done nothing wrong why fear legal action.

After 6 years of failed legal action, I don't think they fear any more legal action to be honest.

I don't think Sisu are ever going to win and they know they are never going to win.

I think it’s lower than when we went to Northampton, I understood that commercially at the time about breaking the lease and commercial terms, morally, I may not have agreed but I get it financially.

How can two commercial entities not get together to structure a decent commercial deal between themselves for the benefit of their own entities that they own, absolute clueless commercial idiots.

I’m sorry, this is disastrous for our club, this goes beyond Wasps, the club will never get land in the city to develop anything with the way CCC and themselves conduct themselves in a non commercial way.

I may go to the odd game at home but it’s no season tickets now for me and apologies, I cannot find raise for others at that venue or any other, my heart won’t be in that but the money I have saved will continue and be ready for when we return to help others enjoy what we have for so many years

Quite Otis and the impact on local business around CV6 and further afield is awful. There are plenty of clowns here talking up St Andrews but the reality is despite the blame game it's Cov people's jobs that will be affected and Cov business losing revenue.

I would just appeal to everyone who says they won't go to at least now wait and see what the club offer in terms of ST and ticket prices before making a final decision.

I don't think I will be going, but am happy to wait to see what concessions the club offer first before coming to a final conclusion.

You could be right and i hope the council officers / MP will have the answers this when they are asked by every voter ( cue all of us and more 43k went to Wembley) when possible - so everyone knows what to do - how our football club has been exiled from the city ? the clue is in the name Coventry City Football club

Yes great when it is free. Why didnt he go to Coventry Rugby? A club with a great history and older than Coventry City.
