Why do people get happy when it gets talked about? Why do people get happy when they see a protest?

I don't understand it. I can understand why people get angry about it, but happy?

So we're fickle fans who shouldn't be happy when we or someone else does something to highlight our plight. Is there any scenario in your head where our fan base can win?

oh here we go, nick gets pulled up on his wumming and hesays everyone is throwing out a line on him

your rep on here is nosediving

how can you say why should i or other fans be silent about a takeover but when media wants to talk about it for their listeners its wrong? you have just admitted its something interesting to ccfc fans. you cannot sit there and make out like a national radio interview is something tht should not appeal to anyone interested in the takeover.

I haven't said it's wrong have I?

I was disagreeing with your "hes done nothing but good for ccfc fans" as if he is a saint. The bloke runs a talk show, I could understand it if he was going out of his way to solve CCFC's issues.

To be honest, not really bothered about "rep".

he is a radio presenter, its not on him to solve our problems.

by reporting on them he keeps us relevent to football fanbase outside cov and that can only be good. it might not fix our issues but its not a negative so all he has done is good.

Because I can't understand why people would be happy that our plight is discussed?

I'll be happy when the "plight" is over, I'm happy when CCFC score a goal etc.

Trying to get us to not buy season tickets for starters.....even after saying his lads all have one.

I said look at the bigger picture didn't I rather than the one article?

Also happened around the time of the PR games about Wasps / Higgs. Turns out I was right then too.

Maybe it's because I am not blinded with the hope and everything that sounds amazing and think "what's the reason for them saying this".

Are you saying that it should all be swept under the carpet and forgotten about?

As you constantly tell us we can't put pressure on SISU. You constantly tell us that they don't care if we buy tickets or not as it won't change anything. But being constantly in the media might help Joy decide to sell up.

There is one thing for certain. Leaving Joy alone to do what she wants without media interest or protests is exactly what she wants. And by the sound of it exactly what you want too.

Because it's a better alternative to us and everyone else sitting quietly on our hands, looking at the ground and saying nothing while the club dies a slow, painful, horrible death you moron.

So not getting happy because of radio interviews means you want to sit there looking at the ground?

Jim White shouting "Get Joy On" doesn't make me joyfully happy.

And here you go with double standards again.

You say look at the whole picture and not one article. But he has only been involved in one article yet you start accusing him.

Where have I said it should all be forgotten about or not to pressure SISU?

I have said I don't get happy over the "plight". People protesting having the time of their lives and seeing it as something to look forward to.

Wondering why it makes people happy is different to saying it should be swept under the carpet.

You said that you understand why people get angry with protesting even if it doesn't affect games. I can understand why SISU would get angry. But not those who care about our club and it's future.

It does in your case. In fact you're worse than that. You describe our fan base as fickle and then attack anyone and everyone who's trying to fight our corner on any stage, keeping our plight in the public eye meaning it can't be just easily swept under the carpet while doing fuck all yourself. What seems to make you happy is not that people fighting our corner it's fighting people who are happy that people our fighting our corner. You're starting to come off as a bit perverse for a CCFC fan to be honest.

How is it double standards to point out a pattern or try and figure out the reasoning behind the statement?

I pointed out that it was said low ticket sales will force sisu to the table and how does that read? I also asked what does he want us as fans to do, as it is clear they will be backed the moment they take over but in this present time. What can we do to help?

Yes, people protesting because they are angry and unhappy with something. Which is why I don't understand the "let's go for a jolly, lets have a protest" approach.

After how many years how long will it take to see that nobody gives a shit about our "plight"?

The football league know, the FA know, other clubs fans know.

It's probably as perverse as ccfc fans who don't bother with actual football matches but get happy about radio soundbytes.

All I have done is wonder why Jim White is lauded as doing "nothing but good" and why people get actually happy about bits on the radio.

Not moan all the time about protests.

Not only look for something bad about anyone who is trying to save our club.

Try and put pressure on Joy in some way like in the media or similar.

3 points straight away that you tell us is wrong.

Boycotts were mentioned. The club could be bought if gone into administration. Little cash flow in the off season without ticket sales. Takeover bid. Low offers that would be rejected out of hand. Information drip fed. 'Agreeing' a rental agreement. Wasps change their stance regarding talks.

My main worry is that we're being used to secure Wasps future in the City. Something I don't like and something that I would rather not happen. Cue must be happy with SISU etc.

We can all see that you don't give a shit about our plight but most of us do. Which is why we're happy to see it get coverage and kept in the public eye.

Where have I said pressuring SISU is wrong? I have said pressuring CCFC to try and get at SISU is wrong.

Yeah, you carry on worrying about Wasps Zack and leave the rest of us to worry about CCFC.

No, I just dont get "happy" about coverage of the "plight" but then nowhere to be seen when there's an actual football match.

Why would people? We have a large proportion of the city and fanbase that don't give a shit about clubs being moved unless it's their club. Not at all surprised not many have sympathy with us.

What happened to your angry boycott of Wasps you tried to push that time? It's about the same time I said there was a massive thing about to happen because of the way PR was building up to stuff, the way announcements were being drip fed.

Do people really just see the "invest in players, fans on the board stuff" and not think "that sounds amazing, I hope it happens but why now? whats the reason behind the statement?" or do they go off onto a day dream of happiness?

People get all uptight and shout conspiracy when patterns or things that just happen to be co-incidence get pointed out. It doesn't mean I wouldn't want loads of money given to CCFC to buy players and winning leagues and the dream, it just means I am going to hold my horses before getting excited about it and try and figure it all out.

who are these people you keep referring to, as this board is not a fair representation of ccfc fans or residents of Coventry and beyond ?

The majority of the city residents neither go to games or read the the paper.

If you are referring to the 2k or so who have season tickets, then they have committed to supporting the cub for another year
If you are talking about walk ups, well, maybe just maybe, they might be affected and will either hold off for news, or for people like me, still go to games, hopefully this mess with end one day
If your talking about fans who have walked away, surely this may give them hope better days are to come
