Anyone actually looked at his records? At first glance there hit and miss, not great reading at all.
Had some good spells at clubs others it's looking like it's not worked.

However look into it and it's quite good, at clubs he's not appeared to have scored many at he's been used as a sub which obviously makes goals per appearance figures look poor, but his starts per goal ratio is much healthier.

Certainly looks a good experienced signing if it happens, tho not the final piece of the jigsaw many think is all we need.
Yeah, but anyone's better than Biamou right.

Oldham manager said this after their loss to Peterborough on Saturday: "We need a striker desperately, a good striker at this level who can score goals and can pull off shoulders......Davies has chipped in with a few goals recently but he’s a different kind of player."

Might be reading too much into it but his tone hardly suggests Davies will be in his first team plans for the second half of the season.

If we miss out on him so be it. He'd definitely be an ideal fit in our team and it would be disappointing to see us miss out. But I have faith that Robins has plenty of backup options.

It’d be a blow to miss out on him. I’d actually be surprised if he turned ya down to stay at Oldham, he could definitely find himself in a position where we leapfrog them.

After missing out on two strikers, MR must be really banging his head against the wall.

I guess he didn’t want the uncertainty of maybe playing in league 2 next year, so instead he will stay at Oldham and definitely play in league 2

I think he has the ambition to play at Wembley in the greatest cup competition in the world, so can understand him not wanting to leave Oldham

Pull the plug, if he don't fancy it move on.

We need a player like him but we need the player to want a club like us too equally.

So, a reporter has called Oldham and asked to speak to Davies. They asked him to 'fill me in' on the talk of him leaving Oldham for Coventry. Davies said he was 'walking away' to help coventry with promotion. His goals could be the difference between the 'rise and fall' of CCFC this season. The transfer window closes in '7 days' so hes hoping to 'rendez-vous' with his agent in the next day or two. His agent says he will work tirelessly like he has 'insomnia' until a deal is struck. Hes hoping to 're rewind' his career at CCFC!

If he scored as often as in the song then we'd be a shoe-in for promotion!

Regarding Davies: According to my Oldham supporting friend - slow. and sounds like Stuart Beavon mk 2. In which case why? Might just as well use Baka
