I noticed there was a big fuss about Robbie Savage's son coming on the other night to play for Man Utd. I am struggling to remember the game, but near the end of his career didn't Robbie Savage spend a big chunk of a game against us trying to get a 17 year old player playing their debut for us sent off? Did he actually get the player sent off? I can't remember the details but I have pretty much hated the guy ever since and turn the TV over every time he comes on. Can anybody remember the match?

Thats my lasting memory of him.

The bloke is a sh*t person and he's a sh*t pundit as well. Without meaning to stray off topic too much but he's a prime example of why I couldn't understand when people were moaning about women giving punditry jobs to tick boxes. D*ckheads like Savage were hardly setting a high bar.

I thought it was Osbourne but I can't really remember.

Yeh, Jordan Clarke. And yeh, journey man player and a poor pundit. Part of the dumbing down of the BBC, where pundits like Savage and Micah Richards spend their time being laddish and laughing hilariously at their own jokes. Can’t listen to them, to be honest.

Had a friend who knew his gopher. Said he used to drop off a large amount of porn films, allegedly.

Bell ends the pair of them and then you have Lineker and Shearer cosying up to the twats. Its nauseating to see and I'm switching channel before you can say twats.

It was Jordan Clarke, Derby Away on a Friday night. It was embarrassing.

When Savaged played, I absolutely despised the hard man/tough tackling narrative the media tried to impose on us with Savage.

When it came to tackling, Savage was weak, cowardly and would bottle every 50:50. His only physicality was shirt pulling or childish little kicks at players. Constant gob but no substance. There was no Keane/Batty/Barton/Wise in Savage at all, just a cowardly tart.

Wonder have Dublin and Savage met doing punditry these days? Anyone know what he said to Dion to cause that reaction at the time?

Dion claims he wasn't provoked but I'm sure there was something, even if just niggly fouls etc. Totally out of character otherwise.

Robbie Savage was one of those players hated by opposing fans all over but while possibly not the best of player in the world was very effective, Dennis Wise another like that but we seen what a player he was, I’d put Davis Speedie in that bracket too.

Has anyone watched the documentary on BBC IPlayer where he’s Director of Football at the reborn Macclesfield? He’s cringeworthy throughout 🤣

On another note, Dean Leacock featured for Derby in that fixture. There’s a blast from the past. Shit wasn’t he?! 😝

I’d totally disagree, that’s an insult to Wise and a simplistic comparison. Whilst Wise was a nasty bastard, he was strong in the tackle, brave and could dish it and take it. He also had technical ability in the locker and got himself over 20 caps for England…. (And just like now it was a lot more difficult to get 20 caps for England than Wales)

Savage was all gob, no substance, cowardly in the tackle and a whining little tart to referees. I don’t know what Savage was effective at other than winding fans and players up which is no great achievement or aspiration for a footballer.

The best thing Dion did after leaving us was putting his forehead through Savage’s snotty beak!

Never stopped running savage if he hadn't that in his locker a bit like Stephen hunt he would offer very little to any team other than being a wind up merchant

Yes, thought he might come across better in that but nope, not really.
Completely undermining his manager by leading the team talks etc 🤦🏼‍♂️

Robbie Savage is one of those guys who thinks he is masculine but actually he is very feminine. He has a psychological problem when he has to attract attention, similar to a teenaged girl. He knows talking about health issue is en vogue, so guess what he has health issues. He reinvents himself at the drop of a hat just to attract attention. that is why to say he is like Hunt, Wise or Speedie is an injustice because they played football but were very different off the pitch. Savage, on the other hand, craves attention.

Speedie and wise off the pitch aren’t exactly going to win Citizen of the Year are they
