Only what I gather from Twitter - Marc and his dad Jimmy are always pro Celtic/anti Rangers. Largely banter I know, but not many cross the divide.

I hope you're right, although anyone scoring that quantity is bound to attract attention from all over.

Not sure who McNulty is a fan of, Celtic or Rangers but my mate who came to the match with me on Sunday who also happens to be a Rangers fan was discussing their recruitment in the summer with me and judging by some of the players he claims Gerrard is bringing in/rumoured to be looking at, it's highly doubtful McNuty would be top of their list.

And Celtic definitely don't need him given the quality they possess up front.

Plenty of other SPL teams who would be interested though. Depends if he wants to be a big fish in a small pond or not.

We should sign clarke Harris. He has some obvious attributes of strength and power that the other forwards do not have. With a full summer behind him he’d be competitive in league 1

I think there’s every chance someone may sign McDonald - he’s record (brief as it was) in league 1 is pretty ghastly. I would say league 2 is his level.

Haynes whatever anyone thinks of him needs to move. Jordan clarke is a far better player than Haynes but he moved on at the right time and made a decent career.

Biamou is never a league 1 footballer. I suppose he’s cheap but if you are serious about a challenge he’s never going to be good enough.

Obviously Beavon if we can move on and Vincenti - i would guess his injury has done for him as he looks like a slow motion replay

If anyone paid big money for Bayliss and the club could utilise it then I’d sell.

We’ve got Jones and Andreu back and kelly should be able to step up. With a healthy amount of cash we could do buy some decent players with the cash.

Can’t believe you still don’t believe in Biamou. Complements McNulty marvellously. Oh well

Well you seem to be highly critical of potential replacements - including one whose scored a lot more this season - so how many will he score next season in league 1?

Highly rated enough to be given a new and improved 3 year contract at Forest off the back of his performances at County. Technically he has been loaned out twice but both spells were at Notts County.

He's not a unit by any means but he held his own in a physical league this year. Given Forest's problems they would be mad not to at least try him. Even if they were minded to get rid, he is contracted to 2020 and scored 18 goals from midfield this season so hardly going to give him away.

Before his goal against us, they had dried up, and he'd even been dropped for a while. The absence of goals from him was partly why Notts County dropped out of the automatics. Looks lightweight to me

I think some of the players that are being dismissed on here (Barrett, Maguire-Drew and JCH) have suffered from a lack of regular game time. With a good pre-season and a few games under their belt, then all three could (imo) be among those that step up best into L1, but granted he'll want to freshen things up a little as always nice for a couple of new faces in the squad and they are non-contract. Expect JCH to stay though. Personally I'd keep anyone from this season who is happy. No room for sentiment, but fantastic bond that appears genuine and as long as none of them are derailing that by being unhappy if not in the team etc then I'd retain almost all.

There are a couple of areas that I'd perhaps like to see more competition, but again don't want to change the balance and Jones/Andreu will be like new signings. LB was the biggest concern for me, particularly when Stokes first came back in as looked unfit, but now looks sharp again and the last few games has been immense - so much stronger than Haynes, but perhaps not as quick or as good going forward, although Haynes worries me all the time as a defender. I do think we need another Doyle type leader/enforcer. HE keeps himself incredibly fit but a league higher and a heavy fixture list being a year older, you'd have to question whether he could do it Saturday/Tuesday/Saturday so may need to be more selective with his games.
I wouldn't put it past him playing another 50 games next season he's a machine

Shame for Dion and Devon. Never got much of a chance under robins. Would like to have seen one make the Wembley squad.

Devon was given chances but proved to be too slow, Dion showed more last season than he did this year, I do like Dion but his height is a factor against him although he is tenacious in the tackle but we need better and good luck to them both

Signed on a 'free' according to Sky. Wonder what we paid for him in January considering we don't invest...
I think that’s good. Can see him and McNulty starting but would not be surprised to see Biamou around the first team continuing his improvement

According to Wikipedia, Grant made 45 appearances for County this season.

For me priority is another younger Michael Doyle, we have this Westbrook from Chelsea, Liam Kelly obviously and at the moment Bayliss And there’s Tony Andrue bit of an unknown quantity there but Doyle is different gravy, a leader, a driver, in the faces of opponents, referees and if necessary his own teammates and a bloody good player a vital cog. I really hope we can get another year out of him.

I’d expect this list to be confirmed today by the club.

If he’s in the team at league one level we are in trouble
but you said same in league 2 and he helped us get promoted, scoring pivitol goals in the semi to boot

as for jch i agree i think he can do well in league one, he reminds me of c ronaldo the way his body shape is, needs to use that athleticism to his advantage more.

The pre season will be key again. If MR can recruit early again and mould the team, then players that some of us discount as not being of the right level will surprise us again. We have sen this season the improvement in numerous players by good coaching

Three more on that list likely to be encouraged to find alternatives I think.

Shame for the twins, but they aren’t where we need to be if we are to compete in league one

I don't think there's any real surprises on the released list apart from who is Bilal Sayoud? Wish the Kelly-Evans brothers the best - they always put a shift in but it's probably best on both sides they move on. Thank god Kyle Reid has gone - you're next Beavon!!!

How does everyone think Biamou will do in League 1? Personally I think he's been our most improved player this season and has proved to be the perfect foil for McNulty - so I think he can make the step up to League One, it's hardly like the football is a lot better.

Upfront I think we could do with McNulty, Biamou, JCH and a new forward with pace. Pontecelli (who I highly rate) needs consistent game time to develop, so I would consider loaning him out to a League 2 team.
