So they have let Reid come back to serve his suspension he got playing for them while they don't need to pay his wages.

He will also probably want a pay off to go to them as well on a permanent deal.

Absolute bellend.

Can't he be fined at least a weeks wages for the sending off?

He would give us another option. Obviously he must be doing something right over at Colchester if they still want to sign him after getting sent off and costing them points.
Coming into his last six months of contract maybe we could use that to our advantage. He needs to play well to keep himself in the shop window. Surely we would get more effort out of him in this situation.

Is Reid still our player ? If so could he become part of our squad for the rest of the season ? I’m not a fan but he could be useful perhaps off the bench maybe.

He is
The options now are to reintegrate him into the squad, pay up or negotiate a settlement of his contract or to loan him to a non league team

The very last thing we need to do is to reintegrate him into the squad.

That would be total madness. He clearly does not want to play for us and we shouldn't want him to play for us. His attitude is all wrong and he is exactly the sort of player we don't want here.

I would be totally gobsmacked if Robins now brought him back into the fold. We have clearly been trying to get rid of him.

Not sure if that rule changed but in the past you could be paid off and find a new club
I think it was dean cox, he got paid off the day after and couldn't play until the next window.

It might have changed, but then it opens up a whole new way of moving players outside the window.

Think it happened our league too.

Liam Noble transfer from Fgr to Notts. Im not sure of exact details or if its similar. But im sure his contract terminated for personal reasons. Then was signed by Notts but couldnt play till january. Was a strange one.

Pay him off, even if it means paying up his whole contract. I don't want him anywhere near the squad and if he misses 6 months of football or has to drop to non league because of it then maybe it will teach him a lesson about professionalism.

Think they have to have contract terminated before the end of deadline day for it to be allowed.

There must be something about Colchester. First we send them Reid, who has an attitude and only plays when he wants and now Stevenson, who also may have an attitude has gone there.

Any other free ride dregs we need to get rid of?

Only if his contract it terminated I believe, if he is payed up he cannot sign for any other team until the close season

Reid could have been a very useful player for us this season, ultimately his disagreement with MR at the beginning of the season has led to exclusion up to now.

If it was me I would use him as a sub on Saturday (hopefully by that point we are winning), I would then pay him off, get him off the wage bill completely and let him drop down into the National League to ply his trade.

It's so funny that he thought he was too good for us/league 2. Couldn't get a job in league 1 so had to go to Colchester. Then they didn't want him back, nobody else wants him so his only options are to walk away from his, very good, wage here or play non league football. He deserves this.

dont be stupid

if he is reintergrated it will be because robins and the players are fine with that. in that case it would be a great new asset for remainder of the season
