It gets incredibly tiring supporting Cov.
i think we all thought this will be the season we would definately either go up autos or playoffs at least.i just feel bringing in Ramage and Cole have been totally counter productive, and why oh why hasn't TM brought in a an experienced capable keeper instead of letting both keepers learn their trade in a critical league one campaign I'll never understand.
its have been crying out loud for him to do this, yes they have the odd good game but they have both cost us so many points so far with silly basic errors.
We can still go up as we are still in a good position but I'm not confident at all this team can do it, if TM has told us the truth and he does have some money available, e should spend the lot of it tomorrow on a keeper and a commanding centre half, if not we are fucked.
just my opinion

The ref was shocking, the bit where he was going on at rcc to move the kick even though he was taking it from there.

RCC took the first free kick from inside the box but Rickets touched the ball before it left the area which isn't allowed. He then made him re-take the free kick from inside the box again. It looked a bit messy but it was probably one of the few things he got right!

He set the thing in motion very early on when Vincelot was nearly arm wrestled to the ground. That was a clear yellow card, all day long, any day of the week. After that he just lacked the balls to clamp down on anything. Truly awful.

Yep, I think it was Williams on the goal line. He just held him back blatantly, he had no control over the game and just slowed it down all of the time.

Everytime he gave a foul against them, you could see he shit it because about 7 of their players would be at him every time.

The ref was shocking, they should have had 3-4 bookings.

Having said that we lost because we weren't good enough and I agree with Bodak, Vincelot let the team down with that challenge on a yellow.

Rev I agree. We have waited and waited for the crocks to get fit and the keepers to show consistency, its gone past that point now imho. Automatic promotion is beyond us, don't buy all the arguments about there's still 17 games to go, we will have to rely on teams with more points and games in hand screwing up. Call me a doom monger and hurl abuse if you want but it won't happen and if by some miracle it did and they all blew up royally, we aren't consistent enough to take advantage.

The only thing left now is the play offs so yes TM needs to sort out the above before that becomes another challenge we screw up.

At this moment in time, we wouldn't stand a chance of beating any of the top six, twice over three games. You all know what we're like when it comes to crunch games, I can't feel any confidence in going up via the play offs to be honest.

Did you notice that after his first booking he went for Williams again? Probably frustrated, losing and Williams got to kick him and throw him to the ground with no yellow.

Still trying to get my head round why the ref made us take a corner to the opposite side that it went out?

No, he didn't. RCC then tried to take it in line with where the RA was standing, which was a yard outside the pen area. In fact, when the ref went running after RCC, gesturing like a washerwoman, RCC looked over at the RA and couldn't understand what the ref was on about, quite understandably.

Free kicks don't need to go out of the box do they? It was for an offside.

I can only guess that he thought it went over the goal rather than wide, in which case someone around me said they can be taken from either side? Would assume that's only if it's central of the goal though, and that save definately didn't go central!

Then again, remember who we are talking about........ ;)

His constant dramatic hand signals were pathetic was like he was on stage, he seemed to enjoy the 'drama' he was creating im sure he gave a team warning to Scunthorpe about 30 mins in next foul would be a booking.....

Vincelot had a pop at him 10 mins before he was booked about not booking their player seemed to irk the ref and you knew he was going to get a yellow at the first opportunity then the red seemed to give the ref so much pleasure rewarding!

Farcical officiating but I think we've all started to become used to it!

The ref never lost us the game today. We were very very poor and looked like a team who had never played with each other at times.

Yes the ref should have produced more cards but this this is why being a Coventry fan is so depressing at times. We blame everything we can....surprised we didn't blame the rugby pitch again! Did Nigel call in and blame the Wasps?

Nowhere to hide, we were shite today and the players need to stand up and be counted and the manager needs to pick a fecking side hat can play together.

The best part of the day was 50p coffee in the casino post match..

Thing is Parsons, I don't think anyone is blaming the ref for the result.

Let's not start believing excuses are being made here.

Bottom line is: Ref was dreadful. We were dreadful. There was only the one contentious decision that had any bearing on the game and that was whether there should have been a penalty for us when Murphy appeared to be fouled in the 6 yard box.

Other than that, nothing the ref did cost us the game. We lost the game because we were truly dreadful.

Doesn't excuse the fact though that the ref was dire.

We can't mix the two things up. I don't think for a second that people are saying the ref had a bearing on the result.

What do we expect its League One ffs,in the week Sterling crossed the ball in from the back of the stand for Man City to score so it just shows how crap they all are even at the top

We were appalling today at times, bad at defending set pieces, free kicks and off the pace. however early doors was it a penalty or did Murphy dive , even though we screamed penalty , either give it or book the player.Key Moment.
Free kick outside the box expected Madders to at least hit the target !!
WTF bigi takes it and blasts it into the empty stand ?.. Question the decision. another key moment.
What is our so called captain doing to rally the team and get in the refs face. agreed stunts did it at every decision and our little softies decided to be shrinking violets and accept every decision.
The fans are frustrated and unless we start playing as a team with some balls and bottle we are not going to be make the playoffs so wake up get back to basics and start performing.
The officials were atrocious , rubbish ,shit , appalling, xxxxxxxxxxx
I have never seen anything like it when the 4th official / replacement Lino spent 6 minutes warming up before coming on , or should it be off.We were getting on top at the time and completely lost rhythm.
We cannot blame the officials for our performance but they could easily have had 2 players sent off for 2 yellows as we did with Vince.
We need a Dennis Wise type to rally the team to save the decorations coming down with the Christmas tree.

WTF was bigi even on the pitch for today??? offered nothing going forward and even less defending, running around like a headless chicken (like people say JOB does),missing tackles and getting bypassed in midfield. When JOB came on at least we had some go forward injected in midfield and Rose looks a good addition too.

Linnington, the ref has always been wank and I dont think has ever had a good game in charge of us (conspiracy against us?)

Overall a bit of a depressing day, what has happened to our proper style of footy?
