pdf converter (1 Viewer)

Hmmm, at the risk of asking the obvious...

Any pdf converters that either convert something to word with formatting and images in place or, make the pdf editable?

I'd like something free btw, not charged by Adobe or others

Is it something you need to do long term or a one off?

You can sometimes open them up in Adobe Illustrator and edit them there. (doesnt help the Adobe point though)!

Googling it brings up 1000's of links, most likely spyware Have used things from Word to PDF but not the other way.

Adobe illustrator is only free as a trial isn't it?

So yeah, long term and yeah, googling would need to hack through umpteen efforts, most of them probably nonsense.

Have seen some where you can covert a couple of files before you then have to pay.

Can't remember the programs though.

I use inkscape to convert to DXF files. This could work for you too, although it converts to lines and not text.
