The transfer business up top in the summer hasn’t worked for us yet. That and the disaster of Ayari balanced out the good acquisitions elsewhere. Not ruling our strikers out long term but hasn’t worked out this season. We’d be points ahead of 1 would have fired
Isn’t Wright on 8 goals and 4 assists or something?

Norwich are vulnerable. We need to step up 5 yards, get quicker with the ball and we can nick this

Really ? Feel like allen has been heavily involved in everything we've done good tbh
He started like he may as well not have been there but he has got better as the half went on tbf

Got a bit lucky during a period where we gave them far too much space, which they didn't make the most of. Improved this as the half went on. Thomas and Van Ewijk looking defensively poor. On the other side Kitching and Bidwell looking solid. Wright has not used the ball well at all.

Glad to get in level at half time. We have been pretty poor in possession, particularly playing out from the back (Thomas the worst culprit) and our decision making in the final third.

Torp has been by far our best player so far.

Why do all our games against these always feel chaotic?

I haven’t seen Allen do much this half. Think we are getting overrun a little in midfield. Need to shore things up. Can even see Lati coming in to add some steel to the midfield.

Saka getting fouled every time. Simms not had a sniff. Wright has had all the ball and done nothing with it. Midfield really needs a ball winner in it. Torp doing 2 jobs in there while Allen is being bypassed.

Torp has been class. Hopefully he can last the 90.

Torp:
38 touches
77% pass completion
5 defensive actions

Allen:
15 touches
67% pass completion
1 defensive action

Wright has been poor, his final ball/decision making has been very lacking.

Kitching having a very good game, mopping up everything at the back.

Decent enough so far for an away performance considering the shaky start.
Quietened Sargent down, which was important as he started well for them.

Wright having a decent enough game against that very good Norwich full back.

Sakamoto getting fouled all over - they’ve done their home work on him.

No service into Simms, who's barely had a kick and his best chance was when the ref should have played on.

Allen chasing shadows and looks rusty. Torp playing well but clearly lacking match sharpness.

Two centre backs a mixed bag so far, they’ve had a lot to do. MVE started poorly but has defended much better since. Bidwell largely very good.

Could go either way. Norwich looking decent but when you think only a few seasons ago they were regarded as being one of the better teams, this must be a pretty depressing watch for them. They are on the decline.

Somewhere between the waitress and her table.
Hugely entertaining game between two fluent and skillful sides. As different to Tuesday's crapfest as it could be.

Torp has been excellent. Tackling as well as Sheaf and fitting right into the one-touch midfield triangles. Tried another piledriver from long range which went just over.

Kitching also excellent, saving Thomas' blushes more than once.

Thought Wright was playing badly at the start but has picked up in last ten minutes with a couple of decent self-made efforts.

A well matched game. Have no idea what the final score might be.

Simms 6 touches that half and 50% pass completion.

Just comparing the half time reactions that are normally on here btw

Simms hasn’t had anything to go on today…yet. Pray we don’t bring Godden on after 60.

Why the f*** do we not target the reff when saka is getting kicked to shit. Captain and players should be having a go every time.
And we should be straight in the face of their players.
That’s what a captain is for, tell the reff he must act before their real problems. Keep pressuring the reff.

Some shit treatment of Saka, their number 7 should be on a yellow too. Wright needs to settle in to the game. Torp looking the best midfielder on the pitch. Nothing coming off for O'Hare. Fair few wayward passes from Thomas and Kitching. Simms hasn't had much service so far but stretching them up the pitch.

This. We really need it

We havent really had anyone since Doyle who does this. Fadz would let his feet do the talking rather than get vocal with ref.
