Got the sense that the club was looking at a permanent signing for the midfield.

Obviously can be tricky in January. Would rather take a loanee than make the wrong move in the winter window. But definitely need some help in the midfield to shoulder the load.

Don’t entirely disagree with the point but sometimes it’s worth plugging the squad gap until the summer with a loan. The right player may not be available (I’m looking at the fact Max Bird is out of contract).

His only only achievement of note was in the FA Cup 3rd Round v Stoke when he put a corner right onto Tom Davies's head who put it back into the mix for Jordan Willis to score the first goal
