Would like to see him at some stage today, DaCosta too.

Hilßner has been taking this asthma medication for months now, so you have to assume he is looking to kick on

I can’t see him making the squad with josh Eccles and matty James ahead of him
Think he will be out on loan very soon

Would love for him to get some time but only if he is ready. Been an extremely disappointing signing and very unlike us to not pick something like this up. It does appear we are doing the right thing and working with him for a solution

I wonder if his asthma (meaning he’s a heightened risk of covid related complications) is the issue here as opposed to just being asthmatic in normal circumstances

Has it been? I mean, I knew nothing about him before, so there was no expectation. I feel sorry for him that he’s gone through something like this, but I’m not disappointed, I couldn’t be.

Regardless of the asthma, Robins has said he's not up to the required level at the moment.

I'm sure he'll get some game time today though

I think he will probably go back to a German team on loan.

What’s the situation like at the moment though of getting out the country? I think we will find it will be hard sending players overseas if they have to quarantine on arrival, might miss the deadlines and nobody wants a player that’s sat in a hotel room for the last two weeks isolating.

Jesus fucking wept, the lads played one game for us, in preseason, whilst having a breathing issue, and there's people here writing him off and saying he's not good enough for league one. Get a grip.

Not in the squad for the U23s today.

If he wasn't in the squad on Saturday because he had a loan move in the works, they're certainly taking their time with it, if it still wasn't sorted today.

The unfortunate alternative is that we've currently got a charity case in the squad. Even Kastaneer gets a runout every few weeks.

Tbf, It doesn’t look good for the lad when Baka and Kastaneer get more game time.
He’s looking more and more like another Bouwe Bosma. I hope I’m wrong, but, like I said, it doesn’t look good.

Think Hilßner , Pask and kastaneer will be moved on , not risking getting them injured to jeopardise any moves , Baka would be in that bracket but he’s needed at the moment , would still expect him to move on if we get a striker in , would expect mason to moved on too

It might be with his initial health issue he has just struggled to settle. Moving away from home for first time isnt easy. Moving to another country and working is even more difficult - even for experienced adults.

It is not always purely down to abilitty why a move doesnt work out. I would say you need to give a foreign player
at least 12 months to settle in before you start to judge. Lockdown must have made it even more difficult.

Too many on here have a very narrow view of what it takes to be a successful footballer and how to develop young players. In fact they just expose their own inexperience of life and of developing people.

It was a signing that was never going to work. Same as Kastaneer. I hope we aren’t paying him much and I hope Robins stops with the unknowns from Europe.

Yeah that Hamer guy really sucks.

Wasn’t an unknown. Touted by several recruitment pages and playing in the eredivisie. Also cost over £1 million. Cannot be put in the same bracket as Hilssner who was playing what third tier in Germany and not ripping up trees and Kastaneer who NAC Breda fans told us exactly what he was like before he signed. Both signings were destined for failure
