Maybe they've cut his wage.
Didn't they get relegated last season?

He hasn't got an U21 cap yet & he is 20. I suspect he hasn't the physical presence to get to that level, but he does get a few goals & that is always a plus.

Is that an upwards or sideways move?

At least he'll be familiar with the stadium, Pride Park and the Riverside are carbon copies of one another!

Upside, Derby are going nowhere IMO. They've just sold two of their best players so something's clearly not going right for them at the moment.

Looks like Cyrus Christie is off to Middlesbrough. Do we have any clauses?

There are no clauses for CCFC to benefit from any future fee received for Cyrus.

I'd be surprised if not as transfers set by tribunals tend to have sell on clauses, promotion and appearance clause in them.

Cyrus was out of contract when he left CCFC for Derby, therefore we can't negotiate a sell on clause in the same way we did Callum Wilson as we have no contractual right to the player.

The tribunal is to set a fee, nothing more.

Yeah I no.... same as George. Except currently we're trying to negotiate a suitable outcome.
The PFCC set the structure and fee. In previous cases as examples they have included sell on clauses with appearance and promotion clauses inserted.
That's why I'd be surprised if Cyrus tribunal case had none

Correct, most tribunal agreed fees have a sell on clause included. Was Cyrus set by tribunal or negotiated prior to tribunal?

Found this seems waggot was pushing for a good fee and add ons, as to if he got that I'm not sure as I very much doubt the terms of transfer of registration was released.

“There have been various bits of interest from different clubs, both League One and Championship, but as yet the agent hasn’t actually got a deal in place,” revealed City’s development director Steve Waggott who would consider a player swap deal.

“So we retain compensation rights but for the sake of the player, I am quite willing to do some sort of creative deal in terms of player exchange and high sell-on clause to try to ensure the lad gets a club.

Coventry City prepared to get creative in efforts to find Cyrus Christie a new club

CYRUS Christie has joined Derby County on a three-year deal, for an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old was out of contract with Coventry City, and the two clubs have agreed an undisclosed fee for his services rather than having a figure set by tribunal, which would have applied as Christie is under the age of 23 and came through the Sky Blues' academy.

Fair play to him, always looked calm and assured when I saw him play and it's great to see him breaking though in the premier with saints.

Of all the players we had that season (AA, JM, JM, RK etc) Stephens is the first one I'd have back. He's going to be a great defender.

Incorrect. I posted a link a few days ago which shows virtually all tribunal fees include numerous extra clauses.

While you're correct, does the link specifically show the information relating to Cyrus Christie's transfer?
