For info I've sent the below email to David Armstrong, Joy Seppala and Chris Anderson re Ricoh negotiations.

If/when I get any replies I'll update accordingly.

Mr Armstrong, Mrs Seppala and Mr Anderson,

I am making contact regarding the negotiations around Coventry City Football Club (CCFC) playing at The
Ricoh Arena in the mid to long term.

Indication from newspaper articles is that at this point negotiations are on hold, but I am hoping if possible to find out the current situation.

As you are aware there are concerns amongst CCFC fans about where the team will be playing once the current agreement expires.

Details regarding how the current situation has been reached are well documented, but it is the future of access to professional football within Coventry and potentially the future of CCFC which is currently the most important matter at hand.

It is obvious that the parties involved have their own requirements from any potential new agreement and as CCFC have moved to a self-sufficient financing model would require greater accesses to match day revenue.

However, if the club carried on playing at the Ricoh there would be the continued usage of the facilities such as restaurants, bars, hotel, casino etc would continue on match days which would be beneficial to the site owners.

From an outside perspective it is my opinion, and also hope, that it would be possible for an agreement to be made which would benefit both the football club and also the site owners.

Coventry City Football Club with their long history are an integral part of the fabric of the city and hopefully an agreement can be reached to facilitate fans continue being able to access the games within the boundaries of Coventry but also more vitally to ensure the club continues to exist.

Hopefully all parties, whilst looking forward in a positive manner, can work together and reach an agreement that allows benefits for all parties to be achieved.

Can you please confirm receipt of this correspondence and I look forward to your replies.

You forgot to add that Grendel says talks are pointless because Wasps want to destroy Coventry City Football Club.

You could always write a letter asking them not to sell to SISU. ;)

Have any of CCFC's hierarchy ever responded to a fans email?

I bet they don't even tell themselves never mind us fans.

By way of update I've had no reply, or even acknowledgement of my email, from Armstrong, Seppala or Anderson despite follow up emails requesting such responses.

When I was even smaller than I am now, i wrote a letter to Bryan Richardson asking if he'd spend lots of money on players we probably couldn't afford. "What's the worst that could happen Bryan?" I ended it with.

I think the words 'paper' and 'letter-headed' are what you're looking for my friend. You're welcome.
