Definitely. I am an advocate of accidental handball, but many officials would have given that as a pen.
Under that shite system verging actual ridiculous (VAR) if a goal was scored but at any point hit someones hand it would be ruled out so why is it different for the defence ? To cut out all the grey areas everytime the ball hits an hand rule it as handball, accidental or on purpose because too many refs are too thick to know the difference

Bollocks. Neither was a penalty.
The handball was 100% a penalty. Maybe not even previous seasons, but with the rules as they are now, I can’t understand how anyone would think it was not.
It balances out they had a stonewall pen denied up at their place in the 1-1 draw.

That wasnt a penalty defdender got the ball. But the nudge in the six yard box and the handball were better shouts for Coventry.
Nudge. Do you mean the blatant two handed push in the back?

You seem to think VAR has changed the laws of Football though
Nope...i am fully aware who makes the rules ...you seem very obsessed at trying to be pedantic ... so ok I bow to your superior knowledge...now carry on with trying to be happy

One other plus point on a brilliant day. The SBA were very impressive from watching it on Sky. Very loud and out sung the bestfansintheworldwhofollowtheirteamhomeandaway
I know it’s easier to support your team when you’re winning but I think out support has been really impressive in a season of 44 away games.

Top of the league, a game in hand, brilliant side playing attractive football.... what on earth could burst our bubble. The only thing now I'm worried about is this bloody corona virus. If cases increase in this country significantly and they bring in public assembly restrictions like France and the rest of the seasons fixtures are postponed … or cancelled, what will happen to the season so far regarding promotion and relegation? There's contingency rumours of finishing the season early, cancelling the season altogether or even having a vote on who deserves promotion and relegation. Cant see us getting a vote from Sunderland but how much of a bummer would it be to get this far only to have our whole season chalked off.

Was a better atmosphere today I thought. First time I’ve come away from St. Andrews with my voice going.

I didn't think we were poor. Just how threatening were Sunderland really?

Marosi had a quiet day.

The result is always more important than the performance. Sometimes both are required to be closely related.

Today was 99.9% about the result!

Everyone coming into the game should be offered a sky blue face mask.

I felt we started well, but then stopped attacking and sat back too deep for much of the match. If only Kelly could shoot, he could have scored 2 great chances in their 6 yard box and made it more comfortable. Godden also missed one towards the end where I felt he could have done better (but got the all important goal so I won’t criticize him too much for the miss). All in all a good day’s work. 11 more Cup Finals to go. Just got to keep it going.

After watching the first half of the cup final, one thing about league one has going for it (not denying I want promotion) is that it's closer to proper football.

Soft as sh*t. If it was the same refereeing in today's game, it would have stopped every minute.

We play good football for league one but the games against Rotherham & Sunderland show we can tough it up against the more physical sides.

Having a vote on who deserves to be promoted and relegated? WTF
They’d be more likely to just play games behind closed doors than abandon the season.
