Beavon has had two decent shots in 40 mins though
Really? A tame effort that the keeper parried and Vicenti didn't react to was how I saw it.

We need to stretch them and work the channels-THAT is what Beavon, Ducks and Jones ARE good at.

I've seen 2 played down the line in that half.

When is Ryan Haynes meant to be fit again?

Duck has reconfirmed my earlier view re his laziness, but he is powerful and direct when he gets it.

Beavon runs around a lot as always and some good touches, but he's never going to win a game.

Midfield are non existent in an attacking sense; no creativity at all. Would be good to have a ball player in the team somewhere as we literally offer nothing.

Would still like to see some pace on the wings in place of Vincente. At least try and make them turn.

Another poor half of football but if we grind out winning results I'm sure we can live with it.

We only ever do 3 things: 1) Lump the ball at Vincenti which is pointless when Stokes never runs past him and his central midfield are stood on the half way line 2) We look to get the ball early to Jodi Jones but he's got the same issues as Vincenti, no overlap and no easypass inside so he either loses the ball running at 2 defenders or passes backwards or 3) Doyle plays a loose 40 yard hopeful lob somewhere into the box.
Hard to see where to go with the subs we have today to fix that.

He can't be any worse than the strikers tonight

But that is not what people are claiming. I think he has potential but people are expecting too much too soon.

I noticed a couple of times Vincenti hugging the touchline. Stokes gets the ball by the touchline in our own half and instead of being able to hit it to Vincenti, Vincenti is then coming inside wanting the pass and its all too crowded in the middle.

Agree with this mate. Boring isn't it. Hopefully one lobbed pass finds its way through and we sneak it 1-0
