My hair was getting too long so I put a no2 blade on my clippers and sorted it out. It hasn’t been this short since primary school and the mrs has gone mental :emoji_joy:

Hhahahahha me too!!!!!! my mrs had to tidy the back up for me, it feels like a new tennis ball or velcro.

Haha, yeah I think there’s still a couple of no.3/4 patches near my neck and ears. Nonetheless still my favourite memory of this period!

I am of that age where while not bald or anything, it’s not quite as ‘volumous’ on top as it is at the back and sides- wife has clippers ready and if this goes tits up I’ll be self isolating for a few weeks no matter what the government says :)

My mates daughter is a nurse up the hospital he’s just sent this onto our group chat

Please don’t go out, i’ve never experienced anything like my shift last night, I feel like i’ve gone home from a war zone, my friend had quit half way through the night. Critical care is full to the brim of 30-40 year olds. They are sending 5-6 bodies to the mortuary each shift.
A few of my friends have been redeployed to critical care and they said all they have been doing is cleaning bodies with the desensitiser stuff and putting them on body bags.
I didn’t realise how serious it was until last night. Only the healthiest are getting a ventilator and even then if they arrest they get one shock and if no cardiac output that’s it end of. Usually you would shock and give CPR in rounds for at least an hour but now it’s one shock and that’s it.

I’ve also heard we ain’t at full capacity yet mate these things we always get fed so who knows

I reckon there’s a bit of truth in it. To shrug it off as nonsense would be psychopathic, ignorant.

Haha, reckon every bloke with hair is having the same debate/conversation at the minute. Half my mates just shave their heads (so they’re fine), the rest of us are discussing what grade and the risks involved...especially with our ever thinning tops !

I thought you were passing on what a nurse has said already? If so why would you need to ask a nurse what it is like at uch

Those are mutually exclusive things. If UCH was indeed full last night it would of had to issue a critical care alert so no more potential critical care patients are brought in. These things are public.

don’t know too many specifics but pretty much everywhere is awash with first hand accounts of how bad it is. I assume we’re now saying they’re all lying as well. I know one nurse in Cov and she says it’s pretty bad and scary, as it would be, but also that they are getting by at the moment, no overload yet and they expect the toughest times to come in a week or two. It’s emerging that doctors are overruling people who don’t tick “DNR” so as to avoid overloading the system in the days to come, which is fairly worrying if you’re one of the ones affected or over a certain age.

Being reported that the Nightingale Hospital- that the NHS is being charged rent at £1-2m per week by the Abu Dhabi owners, no idea if that was public knowledge but seems a bit... ‘off’ if true. As is Jacob Rees’ Mogg’s company (think he owns 15%) touting for business saying the opportunities for outstanding returns is amazing. That is true, but disaster capitalism unfortunately looks like it knows no boundaries of decency.

This is my mrs mate who’s on lung ward

Everyone that’s come into that hospital and on our section of the ward that’s been locked off has been negative to the virus. I’m just not one of these that believes any of these people that are higher up. They’re all corrupt and say what they need to. As long as they sound they don’t care about the rest of us. Fuck em!xxx
