Anyone tell me a bit more about it's history?
I have memories of visiting Allesley Park as a kid and at that time (1968-75) it was empty and as all empty mansions, rumoured to be haunted! :emoji_cold_sweat:
Does anyone have any photos or know who owned it a that time?
Thanks

Built in the 17th century originally and was used as a college. It was then rebuilt in the 1900's.

The office of the parks department when I had to go there in 1971 or 2. I broke a goal on Heardall Common swinging from the cross bar with my mates drunk on cheap cider. I paid my third of the damage and apologised. Which took them by surprise as most „vandals“ don’t do that.

We used to sneak in during the 80's as teens when it was derelict, seemed as scary as hell when we did and the rumour was haunted but we clearly were the ones getting spooked but never saw anything.

Wesley Hall was a great bowler.
I have no idea if Allesley Hall was any good.
