The thing is, the club have a heads of terms at another ground as a negotiation tool for doing a deal at the Ricoh. They have another option to fall back on so can't be held to ransom which is a good thing!
The way its been shown in the public eye now though means there is pressure on the club to make the ricoh where we play next season but i agree nick

You can look at it like that certainly. However if you were Wasps then you could think moving out of the City would seriously damage the club and not see it as much of a bargaining tool. I think that part of the CCFC statement has more to do with the EFL & other clubs than any real negotiating pressure with Wasps

The statement talks of extending the present deal....... does that imply similar terms to the current deal?

Wasps on Ricoh talks
A spokesperson for Wasps Group said: “We can confirm we have started initial discussions with Coventry City FC regarding an extension to their current license agreement to play at the Ricoh Arena.

“There are still a number of issues to resolve and any agreement is subject to contract and the approval of Wasps Holdings Limited Board.

“We are not able to comment any further due to a mutually-signed confidentiality agreement.”

Number of 'issues' that doesnt sound great

Assuming this does get sorted now as it seems, fuck knows what I'm going to do with all this lighter fluid I bought special for Sunday.

Inhale it.

Although I can see people getting angry and refusing to go because it's a 1 year deal.

Am proud to call David Johnson a friend, I believe and he and others do a great amount of work highlighting our plight.
Not sure who you are suggesting regarding "Tim from Council" but who ever he is I like his style if he pisses you off a little.
Partners in crime, not sure I agree.
As for knuckle dragging I am sure your trying to be funny.
Ok Steve, if David "c**t" Johnson is your friend, could you please ask him to never interfere with whatever Mark Robins opinions are on SISU/CCC/WASPS/Ricoh, because if MR is being accused of being "SISU's mouthpiece" then D"C"J is a just that, a c**t and I believe fan's will be eager to tell him of their displeasure, especially if it fucks with Team affairs.

Don't get the 2 situations crossed m8, thanks.

Good news for all parties if they can get this sorted again. However I don't believe for one minute that sisu actually do have a concrete plan/agreement for ground-share elsewhere. The meeting deadline being pushed back again gives them time to dig themselves out should the ricoh talks fail at least.

I'd hope that for the EFL to postpone the meeting they'd have asked for some evidence of an agreement, but then it is the EFL after all

Will be one year due to the time frame, will be a longer extension announced mid next season with better terms or poss new ground announcement
Hopefully an interim agreement to enable more in depth talks to proceed.
I just hope sensible people have the authority to make a deal and the hard work isn't eventually scuppered by Sepalla's attitude.

Will deffo be a new pitch for next season

i wouldnt bet on it. Given the events planned when are they going to get the time to lay it. Last time i think they said it cost £500k, Wasps are not awash with cash and do they need a new pitch for themselves?

....some of our own "fans" were wishing this too Evo!!...
I think that is a symptom of people being pissed off with this instability continuing year on year.
My interpretation is that they really want a clear decision & if possible SISU out.
There will be a huge sigh of relief if & when a proper longer term deal is thrashed out.

I can't believe I have seen people try and say this is the result of work from the Trust. Priceless.
2 things have come together.
1) Court failure.
2) Adverse reaction of supporters to groundshare option (everyone at the club must realise the result will be more or less similar to Northampton).

So maybe all the work the Trust has been doing and done have paid dividends?
Fuck me, talk about believing your own hype. That level of egotistical self-importance is exactly why the Trust is unfit for purpose and how you all managed to get your heads turned so easily by Haskell, Hoffman, Wasps, the council. Our 'Trust' is closer to our enemies than the club it is supposed to support. They didn't make the judge rule against SISU, they haven't made the council start looking after it's football club and they aren't the reason Wasps have started negotiating over a new deal at the Ricoh, they haven't influenced the EFL who have sat idle and watched it all play out.

I didn't drive my car yesterday and rode my bike instead. Today it is cold and raining. Looks like my efforts to fix global warming are paying dividends..
