I doubt other clubs would vote us out. Surely there would be some solidarity, even from Sunderland...

Assuming that we are not expelled, but don't have an agreement on a ground for next season. It will be interesting to see what the EFL have to say.
We could promote a ground that the EFL won't approve, but they would be powerless to expel us!

Ricoh or ground-share. Ricoh again long term will hamper us but short term we’ll take it!

I doubt there is going to be a vote and if there is we'd be fine anyway.

Sunderland and Accrington chairmen both already said they'd vote to keep us in.

The teams I could see voting against us are the relegated ones but not many others

Personally, I think the Sunderland rivalry is kind of an invented thing to give the knuckle-draggers from both sides an excuse for crap behaviour. I don't remember it being anything like as hostile until the recent years of bigging it up on the internet.

Either way, I can't see many teams choosing to vote us out given the numbers of travelling fans we take to most places. As fans we'll care, but other owners will mostly be focussed on the money, imho.

Just don't understand why the Dickheads have to wait until the last minute to agree the deal! They call it Brinkmanship! load of Bollox if you ask me! If they can agree a deal in the last minute they can agree the same deal the day before? .Is Joy Seppala going for the Prime Minister position after May fucks off or something? Last Minute indeed! what a load of bollox

London Wasps have been refusing to talk to them, what do you want them to do?

I don't think teams would vote us out, quite a number of teams rent their grounds now and as a league member do you really want to set a precedent of voting clubs out who end up evicted from their grounds?

Oxford won't be voting us out for that reason!

Until 1986 teams finishing at the bottom of the league (div 4) then had the apply for re-election
As they were almost always re-elected due to the old pals act the authorities had to change to automatic relegation
Really this is a clever way for the EFL to delegate responsibility to the clubs for disciplining our owners
All concerned could forecast the outcome but I suppose it's better than doing nothing

This is exactly the point. Anyone who votes against us and doesn't own their ground sets a very dangerous precedent, I can't imagine for a minute there are many clubs willing to risk setting that kind of precedent.

Which is why the EFL would always allow us a ground share rather than kick us out of the league.

Exactly, they'll go on the money and going up a position in the table or promoted or being saved from relegation by proxy of us being kicked out, is worth more than making £50-75k a season from the tickets and beer they make from us mugs once a season.... if we play them on a Saturday at 3pm.
