He can actually pick a good pass though - he often pings a nice incisive one. What's often underhit is the along the ground ones, but so were O'Hare's last season - I do wonder if the training pitches are cut lower than a pitch made for rugby as well, and that affects him.

Btw, I'm not arguing that he's more limited than Hamer, and am basically agreeing with you to an extent(!) but do wonder if sometimes there are mitigating factors. Maybe we'll see if the stadium ends up just for us ;)

Thing is, he’s not a DM. He’s made fewer interceptions than Godden and only Vik and Godden make fewer successful tackles or clearances. Plus he never splits a defence, hasn’t created a big chance all season.

Hes just a bit of a nothing player. He runs a lot. That’s quite literally it.

It really isn't though - he passes tidily, offers a bridge between attack and defence, makes more intelligent runs than other midfielders who are overly static, is always available for others to pass to him, keeps his shape, harries well.

He doesn't score an awful lot but when he does he clips them in perfectly.

He got himself in great positions at least twice before his goal but the ball never made it to him.
He's made some excellent runs beyond the strikers, directly leading to goals. People who think he's better sat deep really do not have a clue about football

“Keeps his shape and harries” but never wins or intercepts the ball, so basically just running about a bit. He does not bridge defence and attack as shown by the whacking great hole when him Eccles and Sheaf played together. He makes safe passes but not smart passes. He’s the midfield equivalent of Andy Morrell.

He should score more... but then so should Sheaf, O'Hare... even Hamer really.

Hamer last season barely took any shots from well, anywhere. The season before and now this season he’s back to trying it when he gets the opportunity-and because he actually has the technique it makes complete sense.

Does anyone have any footage of the players / fans interaction after the game (other than the bit on the Stoke video Hill shared)?

Was reminiscent of the camaraderie and connection between fans and players last year, good to see its returning along with a general feeling of positivity.

The club often put a behind the scenes video up at some point, hopefully that will be out soon.

i agree to a certain extent but with the amount of games coming up. Burnout for Vik. He looked knackered last 15 mins yesterday. Should have took him off with 10 to go and bought Tavares on
Luckily we’ve got the World Cup coming up, needs to just keep plugging away till then

They’ll release an ‘unseen’ video on you tube today or tomorrow which always ends with the fans and players

He’s been having to do most of the running and harrying on his own though. With O’Hare now back he won’t have to do as much
