I think it would make us more compact when out if possession and less likely to leave our defence exposed. I don’t think Sheaf will be with us next season but Torp, Eccles and Grimes ( or similar ) could work well.

To be fair for most fans the lens on a player is very short. Are they good enough now ? will they be good enough next season ? If the answer is no we write them off as not good enough. We are not saying that can’t develop over time to be good just that they don’t take us forward in the short...

I’ve heard Oggy same the same … in reality most clubs wait to see if the player recovers fully before offering them a huge new multi year contract. We did try and sell him Under SISU when we were broke … not a like for like example.

He’s not in the same league. I think his work rate is ok, it’s his final ball that isn’t up to it, and in his position it’s all about how many you create and how many you score ….

He seems a genuinely decent guy and probably good around the squad. Id be happy to move him on this summer if the right offer came in but if it doesn’t he would add some craft impact the game from the bench.

The .3 teams coming down are not of the stature of Leicester, Leeds and Southampton. The issue is 2 of those teams might also still be championship sides.

At £900k plenty of Premier League clubs would have him just to be a second or third choice keeper . The player of course would back himself to break into the team.
