    24/25 changes?

You’re a pedant but the material point is we extended the contract of a player that was not good enough. He was likely to leave and we gave him a revised contract that could keep him at the club for 2 years more than we should have.

    24/25 changes?

It was a new 2 year contract ….. designed it appears to settle him down after interest from other clubs

    Ellis Simms

I think it was being dropped, getting a few odd mins here and there that killed his confidence ….

    24/25 changes?

Godden wasn’t good enough last season. We could all see that. I was amazed when we offered him a new long term contract. He looks miles off it at the minute and a move has got to be in everyone’s best interests ….

Each to their own. I loved Wolves away and Sunday and I’ll remember those times with my sons in 20 years time. I won’t recall the season we nearly made the play offs.

Yep just make stuff up if you like

    Doug on CWR

Yes without question. Look back just 18 months …. mid table championship club Woeful training facilities No real back room team Selling assets on the cheap Crowds always below 20k Signings were free transfers or small undisclosed fees Last 12 months 2 Wembley trips Record season ticket...

It really does. We were one of the highest spenders last summer by some distance …… The only championship clubs who splash the cash are those that have been relegated from The premier League and have sold their best players and are building a team to go up OR like Cov those that are lucky...

    24/25 changes?

A new left CH and a new CDM give us the opportunity ( if we take it ) to add some experience to the squad ….. I don’t mean journeymen experience, I mean top quality pro’s who have played at the highest level but whose legs probably can’t cope with the pace of the Premier League and are now on...

    Ellis Simms

That isn’t the same as the manager making it clear he trusts you, believes in you, and allowing you to find your feet at a new club. I think we can all see that Simms is a confidence player and a pretty low ego guy.

    24/25 changes?

Godden signed a new 3 yr deal only last summer as a championship player.

I love hearing Oggy after the match on BBC CWR and most of the time I think he talks great sense but occasionally he has a wild opinion. I remember him saying he wouldn’t have signed Vik and we should have kept Biamou last night he said he thought Palmer was again excellent and hinted that...

That model works at any level as long as your talent sporting is excellent.

    Doug on CWR

Yes there is it’s just the fans don’t like it. You buy young talented players and sell them for more money a couple of years on . Brighton made £120m + last season. There certainly isn’t a sustainable model if you expect to retain your best players …..

    Ellis Simms

I look at that period as a wasted opportunity …. Robins persisted with Godden and didn’t give Ellis any run of matches …..

    24/25 changes?

Robins continues to moan about the lack of depth in the squad but I assume it was his decision to give new deals to Godden and Kelly last summer. Neither have made any contribution since Christmas …. If he had replaced these 2 players with ones he trusted more that would have allowed more rotation.

I think it depends on what you mean by serious and whether we have any high profile exits ( excluding COH ) It’s only 1 year ago that £3m investment would have been dreamland for us. I expect Sheaf to leave and a spend of circa £12m.

I really hope so. Sunday was one of my best ever days following City, and I’ve been doing it for 5 decades.

There is one huge difference…. It’s not in our hands ….. We also need other teams to slip up in their 2 remaining matches. I expect both to win on Saturday.
