BTsport have been in touch and are v interested in kcic plan for the Arsenal game, details of plan are at www.keepcovincov.weebly.com. It looks like we can get banners and signs produced too so people don't have to print off their own. As well as banners plus holding up signs on 35 and 61 mins, still really want to do sisu and FL office beforehand (proving a bit of a logistical nightmare) but we are getting bookings for kcic coach which will leave Cov at 1.45pm to call at sisu and FL first - price £14pp and book by email to: [email protected]

Fair play to BT Sport too, their coverage is good if you can stay awake listening to Michael Owen.

Let's hope SISU's ticket allocation scheme isn't hindering the protest. They're more or less picking which of our fans they want at the ground on the day. We all want to watch our team in play its City though don't we?

Jeez....no they're not. 5000 tickets. even if all STH take their full allocation of 4 each (which they won't) There will still be thousands of tickets available....

There are a tree full of sticks to hit Sisu with.....this is not one of them.

Hopefully you're right. I don't know the ins and outs of the what tickets are sold to who on what day because, like many, I cancelled any contact I had with the club.

Do they still have sales to members and those who attended home games to come? And how many tickets are they going to allocate to those people? (I heard it was 4 for each ST holder)

Best thing to do now is sell it out and make sure BT Sport are aware that SISU refused the extra tickets so they can mention it. A comment like "5K Cov fans here tonight but they've taken more than that to other away games despite only averaging 2K at home. Would be more here today but their owners refused to sell the extra tickets.". Won't really achieve anything but nice to highlight how badly the club is being run.

Totally agree.....Season ticket holders have always had first option of tickets just this time they can have 4 each.......We would never take 8000 on a Friday night and live on TV....so really cannot see why people are complaining.....apart from the fact its just a moan at Sisu!

How do you gague the volume of sales without putting them on general sale. The sensible thing to do would to have had condensed the priority period and had them on general sale for a few days before the deadline for taking the extra tickets. Make it known about the deadline as well. If SISU then sent them back as the initial allocation weren't sold there would be no room for complaint. As with a lot of things recently there's an easy way to do things that can't really be complained about but SISU choose to work another way.

BT sport choosing the game to televise was the first problem (never going to 8K on a friday night with all the problems of getting there and back -coach leaves at 1500hrs too early for most school aged kids)
the Club should have gone with 'restrictive sale' for two days (2 tickets each) and then general sale - prior to the deadline for telling Arsenal if they wanted more tickets ( in accordance with FA rules).
if this had been a Saturday game 8k no problem - IMHO I dont think the tickets we have will be sold out

I appreciate all of your efforts in trying to raise the cause for our club but at times it does make us look like a circus.

Im sure many of you will say it is a circus but do we really need more exposure on this? The country knows the fans are being screwed over by our owners and the owners of the stadium. What they may not be aware of is how well we're playing in spite of all this trouble. Cast your mind back to the Sheff Utd game on Sky and did anyone else realise that the only Sky Blue fans they showed at that game were the ones stood on the hill. I have no problem with them protesting but they were definitely the minority compared to how many were actually in the ground- Especially with the TV cameras facing an empty stand all game it made us look a joke of a club.

For me there's just too much focus on the negatives and by agreeing to do this with BT Sport will once again be a focus on the off field troubles instead of praising the onfield efforts in a very good season so far for us.

I don't think its about 'season ticket holders 1st' its the way SISU have tried to create demand for home game that has annoyed people.
I dont recall being allowed 4 tickets as a season ticket holder. Add to that you have priority for tickets if you buy the match packages.
Don't know the latest sales but only 1000 or so sold last day or so. As their attempts to create demand for home games seem to have failed they turn down the extra allocation to increase demand for what tickets are available. Would we have sold 8000, we will never know now.

Going back to the thread fair play to all for organizing this, just hope we can make a good show of it

Oh, get a fucking grip.

Knowing that the vast majority of our fans don't and haven't gone to sixfields, why didn't they put the tickets on general sale for a day before this 'deadline'?

Surely that would have given a better reflection of how many want to go?

fa cup rules on tickets

you are allowed up to 15%
you tell the away team how many you want
if this is above how many they are happy to freely give you - then you have to pay for the rest whether or not you sell them

so if we took 9000 tickets and only sold 5000 - sisu would have to pay £1m to Arsenal

this is why we did not take the extra allocation

How did SISU know we wouldn't sell the 9000 given they have only been on sale to ST holders to date? Selling out last time we played there, also a night match and in a more minor competition, would give an indincation there is at least a chance the demand would have been there. Had they run the sale in a more effiencent manner they would be able to make a more accurate prediction on the possibilty of selling the additional tickets.

We obviously didn't take them because SISU are trying to limit the protest against themselves by not selling enough tickets!

On the other hand, just got BT Sport so will be nice to test it out for this game and hopefully get some good coverage!

4000 x 25.5 = 1m? I think not :)

Looks like you may be right after all - by the looks of it there won't be any/many tickets going on general sale - season ticket holders, members seem to have bought a lot - although I think those fans whon have got away stubs have been allowed to buy tickets today so it won't be all the Shitfields devotees and their mates at the game.

We were always unlikely, with TV coverage now, to get above 5,000 it makes sense not to have accepted the extra allocation ... particulary if there punitive charges surrounding the additional allocation.

I was pissed we didn't take more tickets but it makes sense from the clubs perspective. Arsenal were definitely going to sell out the home end regardless, so if there was any doubt that we wouldn't have sold the full 9k then it makes sense for the club to let Arsenal have them and make sure there is a full Emirates.

Been very impressed with their coverage, and ratings for their recent games (1 million+) have been decent, a worthy competitor to Sky Sports. Owen is the weak link, he has a tendency to repeat what's just happened instead of giving an ex-footballers insight into what's just happened.
