If the magic gel hasn’t taken effect in the next month I’m ready for managerial change. It’s gone unforgivably stale and we should be getting more out of these players than we are

What’s worrying is that we have played two bad teams on the trot and not managed to score in 1 and a half games. I wish I knew what the answer was. Back to box perhaps but who would you trust to play up front on their own?
I reckon both Simms and Wright would work better up front on their own. Godden on his own has never worked as he's always been isolated but Simms and Wright seem much more suited to being a lone striker.

Would be good to see Sakamoto on at 10 and Wright for Godden.

Then COH around 75 and Sakamoto moved to LWB.

Not an ideal process but it gets an immediate change in Sakamoto on, gives Wright a chance and we get to see COH back.

Something that’s for sure
Robins and team love the posession stuff they don’t see it as boring and lacking in intensity
Playing this way depends on some explosive play when you get to the opposition goal
We don’t have that

We've gone from m&s finest food to Aldi Weetabix that's how I'd describe our attacking play! No offence intended to those who shop at Aldi

Yeah but you can make Aldi Weetabix really nice with some quality additions, a few nuts and seeds, fresh fruit, maybe some maple syrup. AND you'd still probably save money. Maybe.

Were we that dynamic last season ?
Long ball to Vik and hope he can drag us up the pitch and score or create for someone else . It was hardly like watching Brazil but it was effective

You do talk as if we blew Rotherham away last season, we didn't. We just had a couple of match winners. I'm not seeing some regression in all round play it's just lacking some cutting edge.

Can't sign match winners with £35 million of transfer income?

If we win this i reckon van Ewijk will be largely responsible.

Dropped next game then. I will probably try and use pseudo-science to prove it's fitness related again and get laughed at in the comments by people that go into an anaerobic state just replying on here...

We've also changed the way we play to a style that doesn't suit the players at our disposal. Too much possession, too slow in our build up.
