The clayheads sing their version of it and then they applaud themselves.

Let's ban everything because someone will get upset about it somewhere in the world AND will post their feelings because it's very important to tell everyone it's not fair on them.

Mountain out of a mole hill stuff. The WRU have stopped choirs from performing it before international rugby matches due to the lyrics being about domestic abuse which they say might be upsetting to some people. Funnily enough it comes just after accusations of sexism and toxicity in the union itself...

Needless to say fans still sang it en masse before and during the game at the weekend like they've done for years because it's fun so not much has changed.

At break of day when that man drove away, I was waiting
I crossed the street to her house and she opened the door
She stood there laughing
I felt the knife in my hand and she laughed no more

Why would anyone want to sing a song at the football or rugby, or anywhere for that matter, which is about stabbing a woman who’s been unfaithful to you? What about anyone listening who may have lost someone to violence in exactly this way? It’s not woke - it’s compassion, it’s taking a symbolic stand against domestic violence.

Always found Stoke fans changing the words so “knife” becomes “dick” to be quite weird.

“the” dick? Or “my” dick? Both weird but one raises a lot of questions. Maybe it’s a song about telling your unfaithful lover you were gay all along?

Oh wind your neck in - I’m sure people can differentiate between what’s a song & what’s real life
it‘s yet more virtue signalling if anything

So... everybody else is banging on about whether it's right to cancel it or not, and you choose to pick on the post that actually points out there is a joke there when no other bugger seems to have noticed?!?
