Wasps scum to blame, however it does seem Boddy and the club were oblivious to it and took there eyes off the ball. If a new pitch was supposed to be laid you would make sure the work was taking place and if the promised new pitch wasn't being laid you would be on at Wasps 7 days a week to make sure the pitch was playable. Not just turn up a few days before the first match and be like fuck, what's going on here

Either incompetence or playing games to put pressure on Wasps.

As I see it, Wasps are the owners and we can only do work/improvements/ new pitch ONLY if they fucking say so!!

No way could Boddy or anyone override that right they have, or have gone into the Arena during the CG to look due to heightened security.

This is all on Wasps for not tending the pitch after the end of the season or in the gaps between the concerts and did any work on it during the CG happen?

Boddy has done his best for this Club and does anyone really think Timmy would have handled it better?

Not if the organization want someone else to be accountable. In this case Wasps, who were and have gifted that organization an opportunity.

Why do you keep driving down this agenda driven dead end?
One minute, he’s just a puppet of Sisu and has no authority/responsibility at all, the next, it’s all his fault.

there is an agenda in this whole thing, and it’s not boddy’s.

blame and accountability are two different things

I'm certainly no fan of Wasps but it does seem a few are overlooking a few facts. Wasps agreed to host the cwg whilst we we're playing in Birmingham with no agreement in place to return. We were advised the pitch would not be ready for the start of the season yet decided to not act on this information and do nothing. I'm not defending Wasps, but do think the club should take their portion of the blame. It's too easy to blame our landlords for everything.
Were we? Is this included anywhere as fact?

See the attack dogs are out for the Boddy, all very predictable.

The simple truth is that he could not possibly have known. Whatever concerns there were that the pitch wasn't relaid and of how it would fair throughout the season, nobody could have predicted that the 7s would cause such extensive damage that it would render the pitch unplayable for the whole of August. Nobody could predict that, nobody on here did, and had they made that prediction before the event, they'd have been showered in laughing emojis. There was no precedent for this.

All Boddy could do was react when it did happen, so sure, you can criticise the reaction if you want. But 'should have known' , 'should have planned for it' - absolute bullshit that.

I've got to say, as I think it's required, i dont know too much but as far as i do know that I do appreciate what @Sky Blue Pete has done or is doing regarding the football club, he puts effort in, is passionate and cares about the club, he asks questions on here to present to the supports forum and tries his best on a voluntary basis, it's more than what most people do. So credit where its due.

Huh wow get your darts ready I’ll send you a picture of me for your door. Wtf you going on about
I said he’d earned his money
My role is to do what I like I’m not answerable to you or anyone on here and I’m not keeping anything or playing a game
I’m asking questions that hopefully you’ll consider before laying the blame in a direction I think is unfair
In the game of black and white good and evil right and wrong I’m sure I do come across as a yes man
In the real world of nuance and doing what you can not what Isn’t possible I’m someone trying to ensure the best for my club
Think what you like I don’t care

A fans representative who by their own admission isn't answerable to anyone surely can't claim to be much of a representative?

Coming from the man who's spent most of this thread on a 'just blame Boddy' narrative because it fits your opinion of him...

Again it’s not him it’s his role. CEO is accountable

Lol i meant answerable to any one person least of all you. In seeking a balanced approach you please some of the people some of the time and never all of the people all of the timez

Wasn’t what I said but hey you can paint things how you like. Influence happens on many levels. You know this why are you making such nonsense points

Who in Coventry city football club is accountable for the ability to fulfill the clubs fixtures.

Article on the BBC website. The club have not denied the content of the article or replied to the claims.
Ah ok I think the change of stance following this and the joint statement and the agronomist opinion it was clear who was presenting the facts and who wasn’t

The fixtures will be fulfilled. A shit situation presented itself, but there is a way out of it.

Alan Sugar here wants blood though. Seppala, having taken a couple of weeks off from the string pulling (good timing that) ought to be firing the CEO, because that's how the world works apparently. Fucking state of it.

Only trusting what WASPs told him. That is lesson learned but does not warrant the diatribe you have spouted

Does the club have a risk register? It must have? Surely risk number 1 is being unable to fulfil a fixture for any reason.

A RAG chart would be I assume available from Dave to Pete
