Been hearing strong rumours from credible sources that Professional Wrestling supremo Vince McMahon is lining up a takeover of Coventry City.

Made me smile when i read that

wonder if he would want nicknames for all the players

I can already think of a few for David Bell

Emile Heskey just been spotted at the Tesco petrol station outside the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.

Ask him if he's signing for Coventry and he just smiled and winked.

Ha if Vince took over at cov I could imagine the players turning face half way through the match and scoring own goals.

It would be cooler if Kendo Nagasaki was interested. The only anonymous mask-wearing Chairman.

Andre the Giant in goal surely! He'd fill it! Earthquake and Typhoon as CBs and strike force of LOD.

He was being linked with buying Newcastle at one time. I assume that was more legitimate than P.Diddy buying Crystal Palace because he likes drinking Cristal.

Not the first time I've heard this rumour.

He could buy the Ricoh and host WWE events it all makes sense. We will be intercontinental champions in no time.

Paul Bearer will be AT's assistant. You heard it here first.

I was never a WWE fan, but my housemate was, so I know more about it than I'd ever wanted to. Nevertheless, I'd welcome it if true. BRING ON THE SMACKDOWN!!! :claping hands:

You an just hear the commentators: "Oh my God, Mr McMahon just laid the smackdown on Joy Seppella!!"

I'd also like to see Onye Igwe in a steel cage match against Kane

I bet he hasn't got a clue where Coventry is let alone what "Soccer" is... I wouldn't got to watch Cov if he took over as we would become a franchise and end up playing in lycra and boots that look like Doc Martins!

He's had Jose Mourinho appear on his show before when they were over in London.

They held a WWE event in the Sky Dome in the city centre once.

Really?? Thought it would be a too small arena. Went to see WCW about 10-15 years ago in Birmingham at the NEC or NIA and it was fantastic.
