What's a flat white? All these strange names for coffee in a coffee shop confuse me. I just want a cup of coffee like I have at home - strong coffee with a bit of milk in. What should I ask for?
It's pretty much two shots of espresso with a smaller amount of steamed milk than you'd see in a latte and far less foamed milk than you'd get on a cappuccino. The result is a stronger, silkier coffee.
I just ask for a white coffee and apart from having to constantly explain to McDonalds staff that isn’t a latte have had no issues.
I always assumed a flat white was just a white coffee
The only half decent coffee chain in the UK is Caffè Nero and that’s pushing it.
It makes me cringe over here when tourists order a lattè and then start complaining when they get given hot milk haha, seen it happen way too many times.
