The big discussion on the board at the minute, but who would you prefer to play?

My personal choice to kick it off is Notts County.

Wycombe would be the obvious choice if they weren’t to make 3rd as we done the double on them. I’m not as scared of Exeter as everyone else, we beat them at home and we lost 1-0 to early mistake. Notts County have a good home record against us, so that’s a game I’d probably like to avoid, despite popular opinion.

I’m not really scared of any team in particular, as any of the top 7 can beat one another on their day. The only team in the top 7 I wouldn’t think we stood a chance in over 2 games is Accrington Stanley or maybe Luton.

Statistically over the two games we have given Exeter the run around - no reason whatsoever to fear them other than the fact we’d have next to no following in the Away leg. For that I’d prefer us to avoid.

Hoping we finish in 7th spot so it’s a home start in the first leg

Only team I’d rather avoid is Exeter, for several reasons and one being 300 tickets and likely advantage in front of a majority home crowd and a mid week trip for us.

If we had Notts County we’d need to put the game to bed at the Ricoh, as previously stated our record there’s not great and them type of stats stick bizarrely for years. Easy enough midweek trip to

Wycombe might be a bit pissed if they don’t claim a auto spot so will be more than fired up for a physical battle. Can we beat them for a 3rd time over two legs?

Lincoln I fancy to finish strong despite the slip up at the weekend at port vale. There play off stats are not great reading tho having failed in the semi’s 3 times and in a final twice.

All there on merit and tricky games in there own way

If we get Exeter and get 300 tickets we should refuse to sell them any tickets for the Ricoh I don’t care they are doing there ground up that’s their problem and should be made to play elsewhere

Exeter will be a mare for fans etc but I think we could beat them over 2 legs. Notts is a strange one, I think they are tactically more smarter than us and abuse the play/refereeing more by having a few more Doyle style players in their team.

Singular games don’t worry me, we can beat them all, the two legs are the risk to us.

The club have tweeted that purchasers of "The Final Push" or whatever tickets will get priority over general sale for any play-off tickets.

Might be worth the £45.

I think the opposite. We can fold to anyone in a single game. MR has his faults but he has adapted well to opposition after half time in many games. Stats anyone?
I believe that after a first game he has the capability and depth to tweak accordingly. I also believe that first game at home is fine for us. We generally defend a lead well and don't feel we would give up a one goal lead in a second leg. Away game first and I think we may set up a little too defensivly for the first leg.

Agree we have shown we collapse on the big occasion. Don’t care who we play, if we can’t win over two games then we clearly don’t deserve to be there

40% of the vote for County thus far, as I expected. Loving the 19% who fancy anybody but disappointed we have no pitch invaders yet, we’re pretty good at that ;0)

Looks like only 1 of the relegated teams will make it into the playoffs if that. Are these teams that bad or is the competition that good?

From what I have seen of League Two there are a lot of teams all a very similar level, but some are more consistent than others.

The last look I had at the respective fixture list, I thought we would get 8 more points and be in a 3 way tie with Mansfield and Lincoln. We have at the moment an inferior goal difference to both and Mansfield at least have a very easy run in. I fear the worst. As has been noted elsewhere a win over Lincoln is a must, and giving Stevenage and Morecambe in particular a bit of a battering would help. McNulty has gone to sleep since his 3 v Grimsby -time for Ponti alongside JCH

I am suggesting 8 points - 2 wins 2 draws (inc Lincoln in the latter). So yes you are right 9 points will do it, as it will be > Mansfield and Lincoln, but that is not what I said

Mansfield for me without a doubt. They are 23rd in the form table with 4 points from the last 6 games. And only 1 goal off being bottom.

Yeah, but I wasn't correcting you. :)

Was just picking up on your 'beating Lincoln is a must' and then the suggestion of our battering of Stevenage and Morecambe.

That's 3 wins.

If we get 8 points we are in the play offs. No way are Mansfield getting near that total. I also truly believe lincoln will not beat us, Wycombe AND Accrington which is what it would take - obviously our 8 points are not a given, but I think like you that is a total very very achievable

its not just about results now imo. we need to put in performances too

no point scraping into playoffs and then losing. no one should take too much heart from oh at least we made semis, oh at least we made final

we are in league 2 ffs, we need to start moving up. thus i hope we see good performances in final 4 games and roll into playoffs a team who believe they are the best of the final 4 remaining. i felt we did well vs crawley and hope to see us improve further vs stevenage

I think if we continue to win the performances will go hand in hand in time.

4 games left. If we win 3 I think you will be seeing good performances in there too.

like it was last week?

Yes-but only ost by a goal, which may be enough. Any side will want the backing of their fans. Much worse to be away at Exeter needing a resut and only be able to hear the home fans plus the potential influence on the ref for decisions.

It doesn't matter who we get - we're Coventry City and we are well capable of winning or losing against any of them. On paper I'd fancy our chances against all of them, but I know we'll mess it up somewhere.

we have won majority of games this season without looking like world beaters to be fair
