I seem to remember hearing this on the Swan Lane Kop in the early 90's when I first started going as a kid.

Does anyone remember from a similar time, early 90's where the crowd used to chant

Again, I was very young at the time but I used to love that. Especially on an evening game I can imagine that could sound pretty intimidating to the away support. Don't know why that stopped but we should definitely bring that back.

Yeah remember that one very well and I reckon it probably went back to the late 60's and early 70's. It sounded like every City fan in the ground was joining in and it filled the whole of HR with noise.

We played Derby in a midweek game at HR and the day before the match Docherty admitted lying in court and for most of the game we just sang "Docherty's a liar!". We were losing 1-0 and eventually won 3-1 with 3 late goals and each time the euphoria died down after we scored we went straight back to "Docherty's a liar!"

I thought they would have but for some reason singing it at Crossley is the 1 I remember, maybe he reacted badly? My Notts Forest supporting mate wan't too upset cause he hated Crossley and could never see why Cloughie picked him

Away at Scunthorpe a few years back some of our supporters were giving their keeper loads of that song - It was Joe Murphy and we signed him a few months later!

Not a song as such but we used to sneak a fog horn in the west terrace which was always good. Also, bog roll thrown onto the pitch when the team came out was another good one.

I still just miss a bit of hostility to the away fans / team, not on about violence just not so much arse licking they get nowadays. When I was a kid if an away player came to take a throw in all the kids would boo, sky blue sam would give them the thumbs down and all sorts. Now it's all "thanks so much for making the trip, give them a clap".

Yes that was the best game last season(bar the cup run of course). Bit of atmosphere for a change and the hostility between the fans added to that.
