Absolutely devastated by this news. I was driving up to Yorkshire this morning and they were talking about young girls around 8yrs old attending which as a dad of two just brings it all back to your doorstep, nearly in tears just thinking about it all.
Switched to Talksport but even they couldn't really talk about anything else.
Its disappointing that people are trying to use this type of event to manoeuvre their political views into the argument. Show some respect and pop the politics on the shelf for now.
I agree with you to a degree but when these tragedies are at the forefront of peoples mind isn't it when we should be getting our politicians to cut ties with radical regimes, stop underfunding emergency services and actually get their arse in gear about sorting it out.

In a few weeks we'll be arguing about currency devaluation or something and the people who export this toxic ideology will be able to carry on as before.

Right wing rants?

A nail bomb has just gone off at a fucking children's concert.

Get a sense of perspective.

I think you've misunderstood my post.

I think it's absolutely sickening, my point around right wing rants is that this will potentially be used by extreme right wingers to claim all muslims are terrorists etc.

Not taking away from the severity of the event or the anger, frustration and hurt the majority of Britons (and elsewhere), including myself, feel today.

Yet again "known to security services". :( They should have more power / freedom when it comes to "being known" and stopping them, bollocks to human rights and red tape.

i'm pretty sure they say "known to security services" as a reassurance, because if they said " we had no fucking idea this person was going to commit this horrible thing" it just makes the general public even more scared.

Anything like this is obviously appauling but this is particularly horrifying because it was clearly designed to target young people, children and teenagers who'd be the age group most likely at an event like this. Truly appauling.

problem is they estimate there is over 1000 that have been to Syria/Iraq and come back again. Add on the number of radicals that haven't left the country and it's almost an impossible task to watch them all.
Rest of Europe (those part of ECJ) seem to have a far more liberal interpretation of human rights etc. when it comes to terrorism than we do. Add in the lack of co-operation from main internet companies/social media companies who bleat about freedoms etc. but are more interested in profits than human lives.

They can use whatever info of mine they like. I've nothing to hide.

Exactly.

You and me think that way, but there are a lot of warped people that think it is an intrusion. Even if it is, if it could be used to save the lives of those lost last night, then the privacy on your porn collection really isn't important in my opinion.

I hope we are warming up the bombers on the runway. Can we eradicate this evil bunch now please?

It isn't as simple as throwing bombs though is it? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to round them all up and bomb the shit out of them all.

So ISIS claim responsibility (in reality the guy was probably nothing to do with them and just "inspired by" and they knew nothing about it, but decided to claim it anyway):

"With Allah’s grace and support, a soldier of the Khilafah managed to place explosive devices in the midst of the gatherings of the Crusaders in the British city of Manchester. The explosive devices were detonated in the shameless concert arena, resulting in 30 Crusaders being killed and 70 others being wounded."

In what twisted mindset is an 8-year old primary schoolgirl a "Crusader" or in any way fair game for being blown up "in revenge for Allah‘s religion"??? How many "crusades" will an 8-year old from Leyland have been on?? Probably her first ever pop concert FFS, never mind conquering Acre.

My strong feeling is you've got it wrong and that Allah is going kick your ass when he gets the chance, asshole.

I haven't agreed with much of what Trump has said since his inauguration but even he got it right today:

“I will call them, from now on, losers, because that’s what they are. I won’t call them monsters because they would like that term. They would think that’s a great name. They’re losers.”

Other words that spring to mind, which he could have used to describe a person who thought that their agenda would be furthered by deliberately targeting a pop concert for schoolgirls, would be “bellends”, “fucking twats” and “shitheads”.

Apologies for the bad language but I lived in Manchester for a couple of years and my blood is boiling that anyone would think that bombing a kids' concert would serve some sort of justifiable purpose.

I think it would be reasonable to say to people that if they chose to go to certain places where this radicalisation takes place that their passports will be revoked once they leave our shores.

there is gonna be no ideal way, some innocents will be fucked over

but better to be fucked over legally than seeing people be killed

On the radio it was said there are around 3000 extremists or people that have accessed extremist content, and have been in some way investigated.
I'd say it's probably time to round up every one of these cunts and deport them.
Fuck their human rights.

No the cause is that a vacuum has been created that allowed this type of extremism to fester and then spread.

There is nowhere in any religious document for any major religion where this kind of behaviour is justified.

That doesn't mean there can't be more done by religions like Islam to try and eradicate this behaviour, but the religion is not to blame. It lies in the hands of those who use it to manipulate those into doing such heinous acts.

Excepts from Koran that prove you talk shit.

This verse is used as an excuse for Muslims to kill Yazidis.
(2) “When the sacred months have passed, then kill the Mushrikin wherever you find them. Capture them. Besiege them. Lie in wait for them in each and every ambush but if they repent, and perform the prayers, and give zacat then leave their way free.” 9:5
Here is a lovely bit.
(4) “Kill them wherever you find them and drive them out from where they drove you out. Persecution is worse than slaughter.” 2:191
and another beaut.
(5) “When you meet the unbelievers, smite their necks.” 47:4
sweet
8) “Oh you who believe, fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you and let them find harshness in you.” 9:123

That book was written 1500 years ago and promotes wholly inappropriate behaviour for modern time.

I don't disagree. Look up how Charlemagne 'converted' the Saxons from their pagan religion.
