Following on from the number 1goal thread, what is the best goal you have seen scored against us, where despite your disappointment you have just had to hold up your hands and say great goal. I will start with Clive Allens free kick for crystal palace, it was a great strike that flew into the net hit the stantion at the back of the goal and flew out again, the ref and the linesman looked at each other and said no goal, that's why it's my fave
Seen so many over the years but one I recall was scored by Alan Hudson for Chelsea in the Seventies,it was a solo effort started in midfield beating three or four defenders and rounding our keeper.he got a standing ovation even from the West End !

Chris Powell in his last game at the Valley. We were 3-1 down and elsewhere Carlo Nash was doing a Superman impression at the time to send you know who down. Great to see a proper player sign off with a goal.
I was there that day.. sat in the Main stand with Dad.. I recall the unearthly silence.. and then mutterings from those around me that strange sound when nobody knows what to say..but has to say something... it was so obviously a goal... we got away with one there!!!
