I believe that was the first ever game at that stadium. Went to use the toilet before kick off and it was basically still a building site.
My brother said I must've been the first person to ever take a shite in that stadium - he was probably right. Great times. We Lost 2-0.

Can't remember, to be honest. Just recall the loss and the long journey home. Also, we were so close to the pitch you could almost reach out and touch the players.

Fair enough. Wasn't sure of the score. Just the defeat and the journey. Never went there again, but they did go under. Phoenix now, I think.

I remember the ball getting stuck under my seat & McAllister frantically screaming for me to give him the ball as Cov were losing 2-0 to Grimsby at Highfield at the time & time was running out
(Ww did actually manage to win 3-2 in the end, either Mills or Bothroyd scored twice)

Brilliant. Never seen that before. We were right behind the goal.

If you took the wrong numbered ticket stub from your season ticket book as they weren't in order and had to get a replacement.

Being on one of two coaches heading to Plough Lane for what turned out to be the (then) second lowest top flight attendance of all time (the lowest had been Wimbledon v Luton a couple of weeks before).

Both teams were lucky to get 0.

To be fair, he setup a goal and then got injured. That's why he wasn't running.

If you stood on the South Bank at Molineux on a Guy Fawkes day (ish) with firework rockets raining down on you, shot from the North Bank.
Must've been mid/late sixties.
Edit: just looked it up. 4/11/67 (and we lost 2-0...).

Did they come after the 2 Peruvians, Zuniga and Zevallos? I don’t think Zevallos actually ever turned up in the end.

Mick Ferguson scoring at Brammal Lane (Tony Currie era) when all the Red House coaches were stopped from going, as they'd been bricked at the previous away game. I was on one of only 2 coaches (IIRC) that went, and we had bricks thrown at the coach from a churchyard, and not one broke a window, despite the driver stalling the coach. Just looked it up - 1975 !!

When Brammal Lane was a three sided stadium as Yorkshire played cricket there. I was telling my son about that last night. I was at that game when Fergie scored.

Similar at Northampton in the sixties. Went a few times. Awful ground.

Travelling back on the coach last night we were talking about the fact it will be a bit of a dogfight now for the final few away tickets.

It developed into a bit of a nostalgic (and somewhat depressing at times) conversation of “you should only be allowed a ticket if you remember” and then finish it with some possibly forgotten moments from our dark days.

“if you remember… Darius Henderson falling over his own feet when through 1v1 vs Peterborough”

“if you remember… Ryan Haynes corner flag skill”

“if you remember… the colour of Reda Johnson’s piss”

Etc etc… Would be interested to hear some that we might’ve forgotten last night

Colchester away in the FA Cup was a pretty grim night, 2004. Lost 3-1 courtesy of a Rowan Vine hat trick. Walking back to the coach with their fans laughing at how bad we were.

Also Crewe away around 2012, in the league. Was a seriously toxic away end, we lost and ended up with Kevin Kilbane offering out the fans.

If you remember Leon Best playing the ball back to the (Middlesbrough?) keeper as a courtesy after a drop ball, and hitting the bar
