Travelling back on the coach last night we were talking about the fact it will be a bit of a dogfight now for the final few away tickets.

It developed into a bit of a nostalgic (and somewhat depressing at times) conversation of “you should only be allowed a ticket if you remember” and then finish it with some possibly forgotten moments from our dark days.

“if you remember… Darius Henderson falling over his own feet when through 1v1 vs Peterborough”

“if you remember… Ryan Haynes corner flag skill”

“if you remember… the colour of Reda Johnson’s piss”

Etc etc… Would be interested to hear some that we might’ve forgotten last night

Full Members Cup game midweek at the Victoria Ground in the mid 80s there were 16 of us in the away end.

Mick Ferguson scoring at Brammal Lane (Tony Currie era) when all the Red House coaches were stopped from going, as they'd been bricked at the previous away game. I was on one of only 2 coaches (IIRC) that went, and we had bricks thrown at the coach from a churchyard, and not one broke a window, despite the driver stalling the coach. Just looked it up - 1975 !!

If you remember Ellery Cairo saying he and Julian Gray would tear up the league (or words to that effect)

Newport away in the rain, no roof last minute equaliser from Max Biamou. Oh and for good measure Luke Berry scoring a hat trick against us in a 4-1 defeat at Cambridge

Highlight was when we went 0-2 down one of the coaching staff walked off the field and came back with a ring binder, and the guy behind me yelled DOES IT SAY "TUDGAY'S SHIT" IN THAT FOLDER"

If you've been to Forest Green fir 3 different reasons (league, EFL trophy and preseason)

If you've been away to see us lose in the cold and rain at Fleetwood, Newport and Accrington.

If you suffered in artic conditions to see McNulty smash a pen winner at Wycombe.

If you saw Peter Billing get sent off in the Simod Cup whilst standing in the pouring rain on the Spion Kop for extra time.

If you were one of the 300 at Birmingham for our record low home attendance in the EFL Cup.

If you got pelted with rocks at the Old Den having walked the gauntlet with a police escort.

If you've arrived late at Blackburn after traffic 2 nil down with a player sent off and optimistically still gone in and believed.

If you didn't leave at HT when 4-0 down at Luton.

If you've been to all 6 of our Wembley games.

If you've gone a whole season away from home without seeing us win a game.

I would go on, reckon I've got hundreds of these....but they're character building!

I remember going to an away game, a while back...

Wasn't that far to travel... smooth journey there & back.

We won as well.

Which was nice.

Being at Villa Park mid 70s, about 200 of us in the (then) open end in a crowd of about 40,000. Leaving the ground a big guy shouting “if any of you f*ckers runs on the way to the station, I’ll do you myself”. No one did. He was too scary…

Some Coventry fans briefly talking about moments supporting Cov over the last 20 years. Yeah what a weird thing to do.

There were a good few boos too. Clapping is fine is that's what some want to do, but after the game.

Find this fawning over him weird.
