Nice little old skool ground. They're on about leaving it for a new one in the next few years, so people won't get many more opportunities to visit Bootham Crescent. Although i think they've had a few objections from the locals about the proposed developments. Out of interest, does anyone know if they have had the go ahead to build the new stadium yet? Be a tough game. They've got a good side. Matty Blair is a good player. Scored the winner against Rotherham.

The players will hopefully have gelled by then, so I think we'll smash them 5-0.

Great I now live in York. They're not a bad team. Can't see us winning 5 nil. Think it will be tight but hopefully we'll squeeze through

Good draw. Always had a soft spot for the minstermen. Used to go and watch them occasionally when I lived in York. Won't be easy but we have to be optimistic. Will be a good day out anyway (more pubs per sq m in York than any other city aparently..)

The name reverted to Bootham Crescent in 2010
they have some big flags they wave about behind the goal
and thug stewards who think its ok to manhandle people!!

Good squad of players, we'll have to be on our game to get the win.

Did their stewards train at the Ricoh?

Don't suppose there's any chance this will be at the weekend?

I went to uni in York and still go up there whenever I can. Beautiful place. More importantly I discovered some great pubs up there last time that I want to have time to take in!

Because the sarcasm of your post wasn't obvious and some might genuinely expect us to win by a clear margin? As someone who has lived in York for 10 years I just wanted to point out that they are a decent lower league club who played some good football to be promoted last season. I think it will be a good game.

for those who have time, don't miss the Viking Jorvik centre in the city centre, a reconstruction of Viking York (or Jorvik as it was then called) complete with medieval stench!!

Good luck to the lad. It was only a few years ago Matty was playing sunday league with my brother - with our dad cheering them on from the touchline! They went and saw Matty at Wembley and won about £400 each on the correct result and for him to bang the winner. He had a great season last year for York, scoring goals to help them win promotion and the FA vase.

I've often hoped he would come to us, with the local roots etc. I texted CWR last year when Andy was a guest summariser at one of our games, but he thought he wasn't ready for our level yet. Mind you, now it would only be a step up of one league!

This is why I was hoping it'd be a weekend fixture. York's probably my favourite city in the country as a tourist attraction. It's got everything and the pubs and bars at night are unbeatable.

No offence but thats the most boring thing I have ever done in my life, I can only imagine it being interesting to people who are studying that. If you have the time, go to the York Dungeons, now thats what I would reccomend!

My nan used to live next door to him in Leamington, but probably a different one as this was Randolph's brother.

I used to know a guy called Dick Tugnut, no word of a lie, its got to be funniest name of all time.

Nothing to do with York but I thought it was important to get that out.
