Hey Brighton how does this fucking halwit above (two posts above) fit in with your hope that you don't think any 'supporters' want to see the club die?

At least I can spell the word "halfwit"

I don't want the club to die, are you unable to read as well as being unable to spell?

Haha good spot, at least my stupidity was an honest mistake opposed to a genuine belief and bewilderment that Marlon King couldn't represent England ;)

No ACL are a commercial entity who were set up to manage and eventually profit from the Ricoh. Our rent is just part of that income, nothing to do with paying off the debt, their mortgage is just part of their expenditure.

Business deals are renogotiated every day, even the council will be renogotiating deals with their suppliers to get the best price and value for money they can.

I don't agree with witholding the rent but to suggest that the rent shouldn't be renogotiated and should stay as it is bizarre.

Not true Stu The £21m. mortgage to pay the 50 lease cover the construction cost shortfall ,additional to the councils £10m. input+ £6M. from Higgs.

That still bewilders me even now! Whatever next, Andy Townsend for Ireland...oh wait..

Going back to the club, I just think SISU are being highly unethical and seem like so many private interests who rip off the public sector in one way or another. I want CCFC to survive, but I do genuinely wonder if that goal will be worth the tactics involved.

Why do some posters on here wet there pants at the thought of liquidation !!!
Question for all those with wet trousers or should i say fact.
What would sisu achieve by liquidation other than devalue their investment ?

I doubt SISU will liquidate - the negative PR from being held responsible for destroying a major football club would ruin their business. Admin won't happen either as SISU are essentially the major creditor and it would not be to their advantage to write off debts to themselves

Their plan is all about minimising losses whilst hoping for a turnaround on the pitch,so they can sell at either break even or a minimal loss. Hence the cost cutting - shame this back-fired so badly last season!

I'm not saying they will want to liquidate but I am also not blinkered enough to think they wud not if that is their best course of action

I can't believe people are still questioning SISU trying to reduce the rent. Question the way they went about it if you have to, but surely you must see that the rent needed to come down?

Not at all! If SiSU had invested say £1 million last season, could have got McGoldrick and kept Ben Turner. Cov would very probably stayed up, certainly gates would be up on what they were!

If you base on 23 home games, at least 1 fa cup round, league cup, so say 25 home games.

At £20 (av) per person, 15k is 300k/game! thats 7.5 mill in ticket sales.

so an additional 1k / gate @ £20 = 500k/yr - so 3k pays rent!

I absolutely don't buy they cannot afford the rent , and I question there figure of £150k.

ACL absolutely needs to stand firm. They have offered an incredibly fair rent for the size of venue.

But it seems SiSU yet again are bullying the people of cov into accepting anything SiSU say - after all how much did they actually pay for the club?

The sooner this chancers have upped and left the better

£20 isn't the average though is it? Web you consider oap and junior tickets, season ticket holders and tues night games. Plus our league average attendance is about 10,600 and that's just league not the 6k we've been getting for most cups.

£14 average x 10.6k gate x 25 games is £3.7m,

Where the fuck did you get £7.5m from?

We didn't want McG then, nor could we have afforded him at the time! Ben Turner, none of us wanted him to lave and 1.8m was a bit low, but that's football, last in contract, so we couldn't command a better fee.

my biggest annoyance in all this is that we are the only club in the football league not to recieve a penny from matchday outlets ie food, parking etc. How is this fair? If i pay rent on my business premises, i dont have to give all my profits to the landlord!! SISU should have paid the rent, but if ACL would not negotiate this then the only way to bring it to the fore is to with hold the rent. At least its brought ACL to the table. Even now they were only offering half of the matchday revenue. CCFC should get 100 percent of anything they make. (If/when they pay the rent)
