I liked him near the start of the season, looked quite a decent player. I think Frank only wants Mason-Clarke to play 60 mts or only 2 out of 3 of a 3 game week, he has spoken a few times now about managing his minutes. I think if this guy comes on for him in two thirds of the games and starts one of the games in a 3 game week it will be more minutes than Pompey.

There’s the rub with loan deals I guess. If he has indeed been promised more minutes here then we better hope he’s better than our current wingers and he’s ready to go straight away. I’d be happier if he was signed as a rotation option but not many such loan deals out there.

Does he play on the left or the right? If he's on the left, could competition for his place from Josh Murphy be the issue? Id say Murphy is probably one of Pompeys better players so can see anyone finding it difficult to get a start ahead of him.
